1. Quit your damn whining. Chicklets are gone, yet you're still complaining about them like a little bitch. I suggest finding something more constructive to complain about, like gas prices or the war in Iraq.

However, in hopes of abating your turmoil, here's the world's smallest string quintet playing a song just for you.

Here's the part where I actually try to help. I suggest you use Mozilla. IE sucks, 'nuff said. Not only does Mozilla (by all reports, including my own use) not lock up, but all you have to do to block images from a specific site is right-click the image, and block it. I cannot find a similar option in IE. However, I haven't updated IE in like 2 years (since I don't use it), so perhaps a newer version has this sort of option.

In the meantime, just turn signatures off, since they're all "nonsense" anyway.

Some think that I reported my IE6 freezing as a direct attack against Rat, and they've come in to pile on, like you. All of you are wrong.

The problem is between your browser and Rat's hosting site. There's nothing Spark or any BF mod can do about that. Bladeforums is simply an interlocutor. The quality is pretty dang good, as far as I can tell.

Have a look - maybe try it out. After all, your chiclet image is around 110 KB and maybe that's why dude's browser is hiccuping. I'm on DSL, so it doesn't bother me.

As for my suggestion about the HOSTS file being "booby-trapped", I wrote right in the message that it would block all images and everything else from that server. What did you not understand about this, you paranoid simpleton?

Cougar, I also had problems with IE6SP1 loading this forum at all. It would lock up all the time. I was running Win ME then.

This was before all the rep point nonsense, so it wasn't anybody's sig line that did it, to my knowledge.

It started after one of the VBulletin upgrades. I had no trouble before that.

Turned out that most VBulletin forums acted that way on my browser, BFC, THR, TFL, etc. So it wasn't just this place.

I replaced Win ME with XP Pro, and I use Mozilla Firefox that I got before the change, though using IE is a little faster now with the new OS, I rarely use it anymore.

I'm on dial up if that helps clarify the problem.

I did post about my browser problems here in the past, but nothing came of it.

Good luck figuring it out.

Another thing. Threatening BFC with a lawsuit for any reason will get you permabanned in a damn hurry.

And, last. Your little 'chicklet whore' phrase is not only getting old, it is antagonistic. You are on the edge of starting a flame war with that, and your other little insults of the supporting members. If it continues, you will get permabanned. No more. You are done here.

I've also been plaged by the IE lockup problem.

I've tried disabling signatures and I'm not convinced it's reduced the incidence.

I'm able to access this thread again. It definitely is that sig line that is causing problems. 110K - that will do it for dial up users.
Imagine if everyone used 110K sig lines - it could take 5 minutes or more to load up a page of "text".

It's disheartening to see the moderators teaming up with the chicklet whores, they are very obviously of diminished capacity.
It is my opinion that if a user comes here to report a problem, the moderators should look to assist him if possible and restrict these challenged individuals to a more appropriate section of the forums if they don't have any constructive comments.

I'd have been finished with this thread after Esav's post recommending that I turn off my signatures, except then Rat found this thread and started whatever flames this thread contains. I apologize if I've offended anyone by responding and defending myself to those insulting or deriding me, but I doubt that anyone is telling me not to respond and defend myself when I'm being misused.

Since Code3 is only focusing his ire at me, it does appear that preferrential treatment is given to those that pay for a BladeForums membership. I guess that if I pay, I can get away with all of the crap that Ren, Marty and Rat do. I get that impression judging from Code3's threats to permaban me, when those that started the flaming have gotten completely away with it.

Some see attacks when I was only reporting something freezing my browser. Some see threats where none exist. Code3 has ordered me to cease and desist, so, I guess that saves me from replying to the rest of your earnest posts, upon threat of being banned.

Being threatened with banning is more effectual that m1marty telling me to shut up, I will admit that. But, then again, since I haven't threatened anyone, it seems that I don't know what to say that Code3 won't find offense with.
