One Year With The Spartan Harsey Folder

I haven't carried my SHF's for a bit now after the one year challenge was complete, but I still have great admiration for the knife.

Having moved back to carrying a CRK, I do wish that Spartan would lessen the thickness behind the edge some. I know that the SHF is designed as a hard-use workhorse, but hollow grind doesn't equal fragile - i.e. Sebenza.

Still love the knife, but it could go on a diet IMO.

Sell them to me, I love them thick ladies! Just don't tell my wife!

I want to try a shf so bad. But my indecisiveness gets me every time. I can't choose which graphic to get. Meanwhile I'm still on the look out for the inkosi I want.

Folks, I'm in a sad sad place lol
A nice fella on here traded me a large inkosi tanto for my sugar skulls SHF (I like the stonewash blades) and it's pretty awesome. But it didn't kick my other SHF out of the pocket.

That says something, the shf must speak to you. I will definitely get one it's just a matter of when

I love the SHF, I really do. I agree that it's up there with the greats. The holy trinity used to be CRK, Hinderer, and Strider. I don't quite know who it is now days, it's hard to say with so many amazing knives around. I think the Holy Trinity has grown into a bigger group than just three. However, no matter what it is, I really believe these SHF's should be in that grouping. I've actually got three... It's crazy too because I never meant for that to happen, however I just ran into 2 really amazing deals that I couldn't pass up, and I won the other one by betting 20 bucks on a raffle. The ergonomics are awesome, both the 3.25 and the full size fit my hand really well. I also wish that they were ground a little thinner, however I guess you can't have everything. All in all, they're badass.

There was a vote not long ago to replace strider in the trinity and the shf won. It narrowly beat out my beloved Les George. It took a couple of days of crying amd sulking but I’m fully recovered. On the bright side it has convinced me to put it on my list for next year.

The SHF is a fantastic knife. The large is definitely a big, heavy folder. The action is incredibly smooth and it is my opinion they have some of the best standard scale pattern options available. Very well executed knives.

ETA: Haha! Just saw Kettleman Kettleman post above mine. You need to try one out, Clay. If you like the action on the CRKs, you will love the action on these! Unfortunately, hanging on to mine for now but you are first on the list if I ever decide to part with it.

Can I be second on the list for that Spartan Helmet Stonewash? 😁 Beautiful design!
