Opinions Needed: "Traditionalist" T-Shirts

A silhouette would probably be best. That way there's no names, handle material ect. I'm really liking how this is coming along. Hoping to hear more people's thoughts on what we've come up with so far.

yep, anyone now how to make silhouettes? I tried and ended up with a black blob.

Someone suggested putting in Traditional Folders and Fixed Blades, so I put it in under the silhouette. Also I slid a " '10 " into I believe it was protourist's BF logo for the front of the shirt.

IMO, I would like a black or gray t-shirt with white lettering, but before we go into deciding on colors, we should probably work out the logo/design. anyone else should feel free to submit designs of their own, after all variety is the spice of life, and I don't want to make anyone feel like I'm forcing a logo upon them.

I would like to see an outline of a stockman on back, no fill color. "Traditionalist" underneath in a small font compared to the knife. "Bladeforums" or the like with minimal or no logo on front.

Here's an example. I drew the outline on back real quick just to give an idea what I think would look great:

How about a Barlow Jack? Something like the Dan Burke Barlow. The Barlow is super traditional. I also like the "Bladeforum" with the dots under it in a half circle as shown earlier. Good idea, I support it.
 
Stockman, Barlow (jacks), Sodbuster and Trapper are super classics... Either of them do well. We could have stockman and trapper back to back as silouhette's Stockman blades open up and trappers down.
 
I like the designs so far but to be honest, the stockman pattern isn't working for me. I think it should be something bolder.....a larger jack maybe.
 
Okay well we have stockman, barlow, sodbuster, trapper, jack options so far. I'm going to get taking ideas for a few more days then I'll post a poll to see what most people want as far as pattern. I'm liking the Bladeforums in a circle pattern on the front breast. This is sounding good. Keep the ideas a coming. I also like the idea of a silhoutte myself!
 
Great idea Ash. I would like to toss out the idea of a pocket T-Shirt, with the decided logo on it. A jack knife in the logo would be cool, and I vote for an nicely angled peanut. I'm not crazy about a billboard sized knife, outline or shadow, on the back. :D
 
let me know if you need the tang image, i'd have to check with charlie but i think he'd be alright with us using it for the tee...

Cool your jets, Ed. First off this isn't the place for that line of inquiry. You know how to reach Ashley privately or the forum moderators on matters of administration and policy.

Secondly, Ashley approached me on the subject and I brought it to both Spark and Gus beforehand and they are well aware of this preliminary discussion.

So please simmer down and let's give Ashley time to find out what folks have to say and if there's enough interest for this to go forward.

A patch would be a cool idea too.
