Opinions Needed

I will be completing the 3 blanks I posted above this week. Then you can see how they look with handles.

Very nice!

I like the short clip blade especially well. 3.5"-4" seems ideal. For many of my hand tools with wooden handles, I use a finish made from linseed oil, spar varnish, and turpentine. Usually in a 1:1:2 ratio for the first coat (turpentine helps it soak in), then in a 1:1:1 ratio. The spar varnish seems to help make it more water resistant, the turpentine helps the linseed oil dry better. Just sayin'...

When are you taking orders?

I am not usually a fan of clip points but your is the exception. I like your design pretty well. I think the three designs you showed here would be winners. I could see all three in my JK knife box.

You're not kidding!

My first good fixed blade knife was a clip point Western, so I`ve got a soft spot for them too.

That hunter blade shape is just perfect I think John. A great knife and a great price. Its only a matter of time before a Stomper blade finds its way in my collection. I gotta tell ya that all those threads of yours are wearing my resolve down....

As I posted in the other thread, I would love to get one of these.

Most custom stuff doesn't do much for me, but a "basic" knife like this, in 1095 (one of my favorite steels) with a clip point, in a sheath of your making...

All of these concepts are beautiful to me.

I'm curious, what RC is your 1095 at? :D

David

Sorry I missed this question before, RC is at 58-59. I`ll be posting pics of all 3 models tomorrow.

Sounds great! Thanks for the quick responses. I can't wait to have one of these in hand. :D
