I was originally thinking Carlin, but i cant remember who actually said it. Yassir arafat was a joke lol

If you were getting paid $100/hr to teach one kid something you knew better than anything, you'd be excited also. :D I gotta tell ya, tutoring is one of the best gigs I've had in a long long time. It's rewarding, pays well, and I get to dip into the politics and all of building a rapport with students, their parents, and the teachers that recommend me.

Dang... If you're able to keep that up full-time, that works out to about $200k/yr. Back when I tutored (in high school and college), it was MUCH less than that. Something like $10-12/hr for math, science, and engineering classes, if I remember right.

I finished all the English classes needed for my collegiate career last semester. Now I can bastardize the English language with reckless abandon!

Don't count your chickens before they hatch... I actually ran into an issue with my English credits that didn't get caught until the final degree audit before graduation. It had something to do with transfer credits and equivalencies. Advisers told me I was all set every semester I met with them, but the official degree audit said otherwise. I ended up taking a freshman English class during the winter-mester of my senior year. Good times...

Just put up a wanted to trade thread for a green cf handle! I know it's a long shot but I'm trying anyway!

I don't do the tutoring full time, as of now it's supplemental income. It's substantial, but I'm not doing it enough to make it primary income. I'm in grad school for my education degree and teaching license, so teaching high school is the goal right now. Tutoring is good because the hours aren't regular and it's a one-to-one dynamic in terms of scheduling and the work. We work out when to meet on a case-by-case basis, and they email or text me what they need to work on. Sometimes they email me assignment prompts or outlines, and then we do one session on the mechanics behind it and another working on the assignment itself.

I never write a student's assignment for them, I'm pretty adamant about that. My shtick is pretty much getting a student to come up with a product that they feel comfortable putting their name on, since that's how I always looked at my school work.

Knotty, your 1760DAM went out, should be there by the end of the week. Enjoy!

ZT0777 on the exchange already for $800.....Full Blown MSRP +$200..Wow just wow...I have a feeling this is going to happen to 95% of them..5% will actually intend to keep theres and maybe 1% will ever cut a thing.....I also love how rare they keep saying they are....1000 are being made..more then both TILTs combined lol

Well spent a huge chunk of time finishing my knife projects today, will start a thread with pics in about an hour. Came out pretty well I think, one knife is a little funny in one of them because I had to drill a hole in a different place due to hardware in the way. It will make sense when you guys see the pics of what I have been up to.

I need to buy another knife this week lol. Strangely I have been buying yoyo's. I have a few very rare ones headed my way. They are having California State Championships in about a week ( sort of central hub for yoyo'ing ) 1st place gets a $1000 in prize money. I am sure this is boring most of you lol.
