Knotty invest in a strop dont get the little lansky one. Its too small to be effective. The oother stone would be worth it though in my opinion.

I find the JYD to be just a little big and I don't like the tip down only clip. Otherwise great knife. And I need to fund the Avenger 2 purchase. One of the coolest looking knives I've ever seen.

^Yeah. Just get a regular strop. You'll get better use out of it and better technique than having everything going off the Lansky.

I conquer on the leather strop from lansky, don't bother. Worthless. The sapphire stone however is totally worth it

I got the Stropman 4 sided it works great

It depends on the steel, i usually use my diamond kit, then on to the fine rod, then sapphire rod. Then i use an old leather belt to strop

The Sapphire Rod and Polishing Rods are the same thing, just different names. Sorry for the confusion.

I love my sapphire rod, use it dry, much better results. Same goes with the diamond kit.
