Knotty just get the c clamp post. Its the best one out of all those. Makes it a touch easier and faster.

Do you guys find 14C28N to roll easily? My Skyline and my Blur both have some little rolled spots on the edge.

I like both kinds of music. Which type do you all like?

yes, all steel rolls easily, thats what hte strop is for. it straightens out the edge and keeps one side from being sharper than the other.... use the inside of an old leather belt, going away from the edge and it will fix that right up.

As far as sharpening with the lansky, i do it in hand. Generally i take the blade out of the handle, that way no damage can be done to the handle accidentally...

touche sir, touche. But if that happens you are trying to put too steep an edge on cheap steel lol

i agree with that completely, s30 does tend to chip... especially higher than like 20 degrees per side.

i tried to put a 20 degree per side on composite leek and basically turned it into a micro serrated blade took a long time to fix it up but it does just fine at 25 degree per side

What! That should not happen. I've put a 30 degree inclusive degree on a K110 (bohlers version of D2) Folder I made. and it has held up fine so far. Low angles are a thing of beauty with the right steel.
