Ugghhh dealing with a trade gone wrong. Don't you love when someone on the forum sells you something and tells you it's something it's not and then you trade it to someone and now your the one who looks bad? This guy is being very unreasonable about the whole thing. Let's hope it doesn't get ugly. I think I'm done trading in the exchange unless I've done business with the person before.
Why didn't you get a refund the first time? To much of a hassle? What's the guy doing?Ugghhh dealing with a trade gone wrong. Here's what happened. I bougt a set of scales from a guy on the exchange for my para 2. He said they where Grismo scales. They looked like his and where top quality so I figured he was telling the truth. Time goes on, I trade the para 2 to a guy. He gets the knife, inspects it, says everything is cool. I then proceed to carry the SR1 I got in trade. He emails me later saying that forum members are telling him they aren't Grismo scales. He found this out when he tried to sell the knife for a large profit and someone called him on it. Turns out the scales are sold at Blade HQ and made by someone else. Still $80 scales. The guy is flipping out on me and wants to reverse the trade. I apolgize profusily saying I trusted the other member and I'm sorry, I'll ship your knife back.
The thing that is killing me is he is acting like I tried to rip him off and he wants his knife back in "new condition". I told him after I got his email saying everything was cool I carried the knife and cut a piece of fruit with it. He had agreed to ship my Para 2 back after he got my tracking number. That was fine with me. Then he sent me a nasty email and said he won't ship back my knife until he receives and inspects the SR1. I am not cool with that. How do I know I'm even going to get mine back? If he had been more civil through this I would trust him but I really don't. I printed the label this morning and sent him the tracking number, no repsponse yet.
Dude weight watchers is terrible for you man. I know u lost weight but there are simpler healthier ways, without exercise....
"oh uh...I realized it was too big and too nice to carry...but only the minute it arrived in the mail...$900 for my forum buddies!!!!" Yeah...community...
Thank you, and congrats yourself sir.
Wow. I really dislike people sometimes. This goes into my "cover your ass" motto. As soon as the guy started getting pissy, you should proceed with extreme caution. Too much of this "I need to make sure this is good" crap going on that I've been seeing with trades. Unless you know them well, assume they're liars and proceed with caution. Personally, I wouldn't have sent back anything first. He's the one with the problem? Let him return the knife and then he can get his back. People are quick to change their mind and act all powerful when they know that the ball is in their court. Screw that, I'm not so quick to trust people unless I know them well enough.
Remember, this whole "OMG We're A knife COMMUNITY!!!!" is just hogwash nonsense. The reality is that you've got people like this who will weasel on a trade, and then go and list a 0777 for twice the price under the guise of "oh uh...I realized it was too big and too nice to carry...but only the minute it arrived in the mail...$900 for my forum buddies!!!!" Yeah...community...
No it's not. Where'd you get that idea? I eat the same food I've always eaten, just a bit less of it and I'm not downing a box of Twinkies a day out of boredom. My wife and I still cook, go out to eat with friends, etc. We just have a simpler, more concrete way of controlling it and having some discipline. I've always gone to the gym with my sister, since she's a fitness instructor and I'm lucky to have her as a trainer. I can lift quite a bit, and I'm pretty athletic to keep up with playing paintball often, but my eating was out of control. Now it's not, and I feel great eating pretty much what I've always eaten.

Good luck Ice. Maybe you could talk to Chet about it, he just went through the same type of thing not too long ago.
You need to describe this in the good, the bad, and the ugly thread so others are warned.
Funny he did bring up the knife community comment. I haven't shipped anything yet, and I'm going to hold onto the label until I receive his tracking info. He has alot of positive feedback but the way he's treated me makes me worry some.
Good job on the weight loss. I've done weight watchers before and IMO it works great. It's basically just portion control or calorie counting. I'm doing the myfitness pal app on my phone and been going to the gym at work about 4 times a week. I've dropped 10 pounds myself. I think I've hit a plateu as they say so I need to switch it up some.
