Sounds like an honest mistake that's turned ugly. Have you tried contacting the guy you originally bought the scales from? How long ago was that? To me, it sounds like you made a trade in good faith (you represented the item based on the info you had on it), and he accepted the trade (after receiving the item and having reasonable time to inspect it). At this point, I'd be willing to trade back due to the mistake on the scales, but it would be a straight trade in whatever condition the knife is now (not going to buy or pay him for a new knife). Also, given the attitude he's displayed, I would require he ship first, so you can verify what you get back is correct.

I've thought about using PayPal for that. P1 pays P2 via PayPal (goods) for the item. P2 ships item to P1. P1 verifies, and ships item to P2. Once P2 verifies, full refund is processed via PayPal. If P2 tries to make a run for it, open a case with PayPal. Might be some hassle with PayPal if it comes to that point, but at least there is recourse for P1. Having a trusted neutral 3rd person is best, but that's not always practical.

You must be on the Michael Phelps diet (and workout regimen)! You consume about 100 calories to walk/jog/run a mile. 3000 calories would be running a marathon and change. Or swimming at world-class pace (15 minutes/mile) continuously for about 3 hours.

Almost forgot, anyone here looking for a Rogue auto? I kind of want it, but I am juggling funds for other knives and jeep.

tag. I don't have any Blurs, Skylines,or ZT350's left. Although, I did use a couple of Blurs a lot for awhile. Chet got them, and he sent those off to a member here.
 
I love Skylines. I've got one in my pocket right now. It's my FrankenSkyline. I like Blurs, but I'm not crazy about them like some people are.
