DARN YOU DAVE. I just bought one of these. Ok no more buying until I get the 0560CBCF, or save more than enough money to get one.

Double D bags, I love my bump. You might want to put a new clip on it though. A chive, scallion or leek style clip will work but neet to be drilled on one side. Look in the modified thread and you'll see the one I did. Still need to make one out of the blur clip mario sent me. Been slacking!

I searched all 22 pages and didn't see it. I guess I'll look again.

I think I've ran into my first little bit of trouble with sharpening. Right now I'm sharpening my Skyline and it seems that some parts of the blade were sharpened at different angles from the factory. Not purposely, but that's just what happened. The first half of the edge is razor sharp, sharper than it was when I got it from the factory, but the back half of the edge doesn't even slice through paper. It just tears it. Is there anything that I could be doing wrong? How long does re-profiling usually take with a Lansky? I don't think this is right, but I think the edge on my Skyline is 30 degrees (not inclusive). I Sharpied the entire edge and with the lower angles I was using, I was only taking Sharpie off of the shoulder, and not the secondary bevel. Then, I went to the 30 degree setting, and Sharpies being taken' off the edge. If I could, I would like to re-profile this down to about 20 degrees (not inclusive).

They r never one angle from factory, at least by my experience. Just keep going until edge is even and one bevel

ALright decided on the work sharp. Lots of good reviews and seems to be one of the quickest and easiest ways to sharpen. I like that it will do a variety of knives and other things like your lawn mower blade, axes, etc.

Keep sharpening until you get the edge like you want it. It sounds like you'll need to remove material from the shoulder until you've thinned the edge out.

Something about the Work Sharp you should know...there's no platen behind the belt. You'll end up with convex edges.

Well Knotty I didn't light Marks Grip on fire but I managed to chip a bit of the coating off (Accident) Thought you might enjoy that.

I believe I'll go finish the 60 grit process of the Chill regrind.

Well, I do prefer a chip over fire. Emailed Benchmade's warranty dept. Hopefully they'll get it fixed.
Haha, that's awesome. Hopefully you knocked off some of those STD's. :p
