I'm guessing that this is going to be a PITA to sharpen

its actually surprisingly easy to do. I did it to that recon 1 i was working on and it turned out amazing... i didnt do the stonewash part yet, but the acid etching part is as easy as putting your pants on.

I don't know man. I went to put my pants on last week and stabbed my toe with a mora. Could you imagine what could happen if I tried acid washing it? I'd probably end up crashing my car into a Toys 'R Us or something.

Yeah, me too. That's why I'm a little hesitant to sharpen my Blur.

Don't worry about sharpening the Blur. They're just as simple as a regular knife. I did this one on my Edge Pro and the EP stones are about twice as wide as the lansky ones.

I believe you can get rounded Lansky stones that work for recurves. I know they make 'em for the EP and I'm purty sure I saw them for the Lansky as well.

Awesome video! I actually feel like I'm learning.

Turns out, I'm a pretty decent free hand sharpener. I got my Chubby hair shaving sharp, using the lansky stones, free handed.

Nice! that's a very good skill to have. I'm completely lousy at freehanding but I've been getting better recently.

Apparently they are making partially serrated 0561s. They are also making them with a black coating. If it's DLC (I'm thinking it is) I'll be all over that. I love me some DLC.

It's worth it IMO. I got to get mine back from Steeley. I miss it so much. There's just something about that KVT.

KVT is pure awesomeness.

I purposely dulled my salvo, so that it wouldn't cut printer paper, and free hand sharpened it back to hair shaving. I'm so happy, that I don't have to invest in an expensive EPA anymore :p
Only some slightly expensive stones.

So now that I have this badass tv I am looking for blu ray suggestions. So what is everyone's list of most visually impressive blu rays you have seen. I have a decent amount but am always looking for something I have missed.

Dunno if they have it on blu ray, but the series discovery did, planet earth, was obnoxiously good in HD on my friends TV

Now you've got me wondering how sharp I can get my knives.
If any of my Order brothers could help out This would be awesome! Me and my GF are doing Relay for Life and any $$ you could donate to help out would be greatly appreciated...You can Donate through this link

Or Send it as Gift to my PayPal at Team3sxstealth@yahoo.com
Once I sell one of my knives on evilbay, I would be glad to throw in a $5 bill.

Question: If I still have a decently sharp edge, is it necessary to still start sharpening at the lowest grit stone and keep working my way up, or can I start somewhere in the middle, like 600 grit?
