Gahhh, these flashlights, pens and multi-tools are just as addicting to read and look at than knives.
Indeed they are. Let's talk about those.
Let me make it easy flashlight wise.
ThruNite T20.
And I really like the pen I got in Mario's GAW.
Glad you like the pen. I'm not a fan of the ThruNites for some reason... I prefer either a Foursevens, Olight or Zebralight.
1. Why are some of the pocket-clips in the middle of the flashlight? 2. What do all of the different battery types mean?
Clip placement, like most other things, is just a matter of design intention. For a lot of lights, and knives, the clip can kill the desire. Fortunately, for small lights (and some knives) a clip can just be mounted how you want it if you find the right one to fit.
As for batteries, you'll find they vary from alkalines (eg. 1.5V AA) to rechargeable lithium ions (rechargeable 14500, the "AA" sized battery, but with a 3.7-4.2V output) which may or may not work on a light designed for standard alkalines unless the circuitry can handle the voltage. If you want really good information to get you going, look at this thread on CPF:

selfbuilt is brilliant, and has the most extensive set of light reviews and test you could ever hope for. I'm tech-nerdy enough as it is, so lights are a big interest of mine, so I'm glad you answer whatever questions you'd have that you can't easily find info for.
In case anyone missed it. This was the best Knives Emporium could come up with on their facebook page. They didn't even come up with anything!
Mistake
After all has been said and done, we, at Knives Emporium apologize for all the mistrust that this incident has caused. Some of you do indeed believe that this mistake was made intentionally and for that we are truly sorry.
Since Knives Emporium opened its doors we havent had bad complaints of any kind; much less of being deceptive. On the contrary, we have had many good reviews of our products and timely delivery to all our customers.
We never had a dispute of any sort; these are undeniable facts as well as for the winners that received our giveaways.
For those of you who still believe in us we welcome you to stay on board.
Sincerely,
The Knives Emporium Team
Hi-larious. I enjoyed reading that whole brouhaha when it flared up. The George character that posted for KE didn't write too well either, which made it a bit more enjoyable to read.
Wow I saw a member saying how he couldn't believe they used the "crappy sandvik" steel on the carbon fiber 0560

. 14C28N is very rust resistant. The beadblasting can cause some rust to appear. That is however easily remedied. Not to mention that our ancestors used all non stainless steel for pretty much forever.
What!? Who!? WHERE!? What a fool...
I'm just not going to worry about all of this flashlight madness until I can actually buy one, even though I already do this with knives lol.
You could get a really nice Foursevens light for very little money. They're my favorite budget brand of light.
How do you guys carry your every day things? Do you just throw them in your pocket? Do you keep them on a lanyard or something of sorts?
Knife is usually front left pocket, along with my pen. Right side change pocket has my light, and right front pocket is my phone. Left back is my wallet, and right back is my Leatherman.
I cant friggin sleep... Im too excited about spending all my money. I dont know if i had told you fellas yet, but im in the process of buying a belt grinder and stuff to start making knives and things of that nature. Its just so friggin expensive to get into. The grinder im looking at is ~2,000 dollars after delivery and set up costs. I would love to get a Wilmont Tag-101, but thats WAYYYY out of my price range.
Its gunna wipe my bank account out if i dont sell a bunch of my stuff. I need: grinder, drill press, belts, steel, handle material, drill bits, sanding drums, hardware, and a crap ton of money.
Im just so eager to be able to make my own knives that i dont even care about the costs.
I call dibs on reviewing your first knife!

Good luck man, it sounds really fun.
Lithium batteries are not rechargeable!
Lithium-Ion batteries are rechargeable.
Simple example, cr123A camera batteries are not rechargeable and they are lithium batteries. But rcr123A or 16340 batteries, that are same size as cr123A's, are rechargeable. They are lithion-ion batteries.
Just to make it clear
