Order of KAI Official Hang Out; Good Times & Joyous Knives

I just got my first Spyderco today. A friend (and co-worker) said he found this knife in one of his old boxes in the garage. Doesn't know where it came from, when he got it, or even who he got it from. He's pretty big into guns, (we work in the ammo business ;) ) and I got him to branch out from collecting Case knives to owning a great American blade.....a 0560. He loves it so much that he's been carrying it to work and around the house for at least 4 months or so, and has never cut a thing. Not even paper. Anywho, he often gives me random blades to clean up or sharpen or polish, and he told me I could have this one if I wanted it. So I said hey, what the hay. Never liked the "spydie hole" (?) design all that much, but have lately been extremely interested in that brown brad southard collab with spyderco, mostly because the blade hole doesn't protrude out from the knife all that far, and when it's in the closed position it's completely straight, so I decided I would give this a whirl.

EDIT: Did a little research, and it appears to be a first generation Endura 1 or something. Cheers.

Then you're a fool sir! Chemistry is effing awesome. Btw, your knifes are all done except for one, the Blur. Haven't had the gall to touch that one yet. I'll likely do that one tonight and send them out this weekend. Sorry for the delay, grad classes and the wife's play really knocked me down.

if you are talking about sharpening on the wicked edge stick recurves really aren't that bad, the corners of the stones go through the curves just fine. I do my 0350 all the time, I just don't strop it as it does seam like that would be a bit more difficult to do without cutting the strops and the 1000 grit stones go fine enough for that knife.

I was looking at some off his old vids a couple weeks ago... He has a really cool one about his other hobbies and he shows some paintings he's done, they were actually pretty freaking sweet! I'll see if I can find the vid:thumbup: and I must agree he's come a long way from his first few pimp jobs (lol)

I concur, I like it however am not that great at it.

secondly, I just found some horseradish and chive flavored jack cheese, It is rediculous on spicy buffalo wheat thins!

I was watching some of the first vids and it truly is amazing. I love his style, and I cant wait to see how his Tuff Tanics come out.
I just hope I can get to his level someday. Im going to be orderig my grinder soon. So very anxious to start :)

I can't wait either! And he's re-naming the Tanic lol...

yeah i know :) Until he renames it, thats what imma call it lol. I also fell in love with that other knife he showed.. i think he called it the warlock? That was so unique, and cool. I need one lol

I definetly liked the warlock! It kinda reminds me of a steam punk Anso 67 (might just be me lol)
