"You're not friends unless you argue."

I like that:) I have a cousin that quite honestly I can't stand at times, but every once in awhile we get along and he's one of the smarter people I know...definetly someone I've had some good inside jokes with;) if you're reading this you might just laugh! .._./.._/_._./_._/_._ _/_ _ _/.._

So, something crazy just happened.

My buddy Chris came with his GF Christian and her friend Megan. I had to go get something from the store right as they left so I was about 30 seconds behind them in my neighborhood. Right as I was getting to the end of my road, I saw Chris' car pulled over the side of the road. I pulled over to see what was going on and Megan is having a seizure in the back of the car. We got her out of the car and after a a couple minutes (may have been like 10 seconds but it felt longer) She started to get a little better and was sort of able to talk, then she started to twitch/shake again but Chris was able to snap her out of it. She got better after that and the ambulance came to check her out. She didn't have insurance and felt okay so she home with Chris and Christian.

That was my first time seeing someone having a seizure and it was pretty frightening to be honest.

It can be frrightening for sure. Best thing to do is keep her from falling or hurting herself but not to fight her, let her move on her own and let it pass. You can hurt her by holding her down. I'm not a medic but I did stay at a holiday in express lastnight.... just kdding first aid course from training in the dept!
Hope she is ok and keep an eye on her or basically don't let her be alone for a few days. Hard to say exactly what it was but it could get bad for if it happens again (clot on the brain)

Yeah we kept her head up but didn't restrain her or anything. None of us have any medical experience so we didn't really know what to do except stay calm and talk to her. She said she's had them before and they didn't know what caused them.

My sister had/has epilespy, diagnosed as just a "seizure disorder" for the latter part of her teens and the early part of her twenties. I still remember being rather young and her having seizures at odd moments. Most frightening was at dinner one time, and her head started twisting to the right, she just said in a bit of a panicked tone "Mom, I'm having a seizure..." We all got up and helped her to the floor and got a pillow for her head.

First one she had was at school, I believe she was in 7th or 8th grade. I was in 5th. It's really scary at first...but sadly you get used to it and just do your best to be prepared.

She couldn't get her divers license for a while because of it, but with medication it came under control. A good neurologist and the proper treatment can make the world of difference, so as was said, insurance is a good thing. I never would mess around or get lax with issues of the brain. My sis hasn't had a seizure in a long long time thankfully. I'm glad that time has passed, but none of us forget.

I'm sorry you had and your friends had that shock and that Megan has this experience. As far as the actual causes, that's still widely discussed and researched. There's evidence for genetic links and evidence for it being random or environmentally caused. I'm not certain, I stopped reading up on it after it stopped being a part of my life.

Best of luck to her man, it's very important to have a support system that knows the issue and can handle it when she's most vulnerable.

GOOD MORNING!!!!!!!! I'm only this happy because it's 70 degrees with a nice breeze, but that just might be our lake.

Morning all.

I really hate getting nickel and dimed on the bay. I had to turn down a very very generous offer on a cbcf cause the funds just weren't gonna be there. Figured I would pick up a 0400 instead. Found a good pe on the bay. Every time I put a bid in the jackhole ups me by one bid in less than a minute. I give up.

Dave the way eBay works is you can put in the maximum you are willing to pay for an item and it will automatically outbid others by one bid until the price exceeds your max bid. I'd imagine that is what is happening to you
