Guys I need your help. The upstairs of my house is out of power, but the down stairs isn't. I'm assuming the breaker got tripped, but I don't know what switch to flip. Will post pics of it in a minute.

Seriously?

You flip the switch the is blown. When you look at the fuse box, ever switch with be tight to one side. You will see one or two switches that aren't all the way over and if you wiggle it, it will move fairly freely while the unblown fuses will be very tight. Push the blown fuses all the way over to the opposite side of the others and then back in line with them.

Imagine a light switch. All of the switches are in the on position. Find the one that is kind of in between on and off. Flip that switch off and then back on and you're done.

I know what a tripped fuse looks like, and none of them are blown.

Those pictures are not very helpful, read my last post. You just said you thought a breaker was tripped but now your are saying nothing is tripped?

ok, there are two "lights and outlet" breaker switches. Both of them have test buttons. One of the switches when I pressed the test button it flips it self in between the off, and on position, but when I press the other it doesn't do anything. Does that mean anything?

Is there a reset button along with the test button? Can you manually flip the switch on the one that isn't moving?

If that doesn't work, you might have to go and unplug every device that's on that circuit and try to reset it again.

No reset button. But I've flipped it off then on, and nothing changed. It doesn't give resistance half the way when I flip it off, but it gives resistance when I flip it on.
