I got to drive on the expressway today! :D That was exciting! One thing I wouldn't say I messed up on or did wrong, but my instructor told me to pass a semi and the speed limit was 70. I had the needle on 70 the whole time and I was even with the semi. The semi was obviously going 70, so there was no way I was going to pass him anytime soon, so I just went "Ahhh, screw it" and I went to 75 and he got mad at me.

I have people interested in my Leek and Brown Skyline, so hopefully those sell. If they do, I'll have $181 to spend!

One thing I'll add is the fact the the two pieces look pressure fitted. It's still a rip off, but it looks to me the actual methods is different. Could be wrong though.

Not really sure that ripoff is fair. I liken it to laminated steel. The technology has been around for along time and does have benefits. I will just let KAI pass their ruling.

It's indeed the Sunwayman lights that use a control ring. Zebralight uses an electronic side switch, and it's actually become my preferred method. The Sunwayman V11R is the current gen version that has the continuously variable control, while their M11R has three steps in the control ring. I actually prefer the M11R because it's smaller and has no tail clicky switch. If you have the chance to get the new Jetbeam RRT01, I recommend it. It's a useful light, and works well for pretty much anything.

I will check those out. I here a lot of good things about both Sunwayman and Zebralight.
 
I have a real problem. Let one of my brothers carry my carbon fiber Blur. Lost. Now I cannot find any to buy. I need to find one of those and a Bladeforums Skyline.

I'm right there with ya on the BF skyline. Saw one posted on the exchange like a week ago, and I was a few minutes too late.

I literally checked all my sources and couldn't find one. Maybe Stick? :D You could try to e-mail Dave and see if he might have one.
 
Oh wow...did they seriously dry up? Damn, there were several floating around when I checked two weeks ago. I actually only have one extra, I sold my third CF Blur to Manny. He really loved it, and actually wanted a second. I guess he's out of luck as well.

I'm really sorry Steel, that blows pretty hard. I don't really loan special items out to anyone...not even family. It's usually just for that reason... Poo.

The BFC Skyline will be even harder to find. I have a couple...but I only had one for a while (sold one to Dave). I ended up picking up Chet's since I decided to tap one for a lefty clip and it's been my carry knife since before Blade Show. It was my carry knife all Blade Show weekend as well. Can't get rid of mine or the backup...sorry.


It really stings when you lose a limited production piece...

On a lighter note, I just sent Dave payment for an 0801. Bammy wham! Also, three new Zebralights are on the way!

Very nice sir! Super jealous on the 0801 as well. Is it the carbon fiber inlayed one? Being on vacation is now sucking a little :P as I am unsure of funds and don't want to order something till I am.

No more family loans either :D.

Nope, standard production 0801. That one is going right into my pocket. After playing with it at Blade Show, it's sleek enough for actual regular pocket carry, and I LOVE how worn bead blasted titanium looks. The 0801CF isn't released yet, likely won't be until later this year. I'll be ready for that one as well.

Seems like this is shaping up to be a pretty cool week. The guys who were crooning over the 0600 are taken care of, the 0801s are rolling out, I've got neutral white Zebralights coming my way (incuding my first headlamp), and I'm gearing up for another camera. :D

The only thing that stings is the loss of a CF Blur... *tear*
