Order of KAI Official Hang Out; Good Times & Joyous Knives

I feel stupid in Forza 4 when I'm doing a multi-class race and the cars in front of me are way faster and the whole time I'm thinking "How the hell are they so fast?". Then it hits me.
 
Can any of you guys tell me why every time I disassemble a knife (like my skyline and leek) to either oil it or clean it, it ends up being off-centered when I put it back together? It's driving me nuts. The only thing I know is to make sure I put the body screws in first before I adjust the pivot. But it still comes out opposite side of the liner lock. I tried it a few times last night with my skyline, and now one of the nuts that hold the screws is now spinning freely in the G10 body. Any advice here? Thanks

I'm sure It's something minor.

Kershaw will send you those nuts. I needed a couple for my FrankenSkyline.
 
I wonder why RamZar hasn't joined the Order of KAI. He seems pretty knowledgeable and likes KAI from everything that I've read that he's posted.

well first my reason for this opinion: I'm sure most of you know me, FCM415, and bladechick777 started spydernation. After a month or so I got a PM from FCM saying he wanted out. Not because he didn't like the group or the people, but when he posted in a thread about spyderco people accused him of being biased towards one company. So he left with no hard feelings and that was that. I think the same thing might aply to RamZar. Again just a guess. :)
 
Just put the screws in loosely then tighten them from the base of the handle to the pivot. Doing it that way should allow you to adjust center with the pivot screw. If that doesn't work repeat the steps but this time with a folded piece of paper between the blade and the handle side that does NOT have the lock on it, after getting the pivot tightened pull the piece of paper out and then slowly loosen the pivot just until it opens properly. If that doesn't work play with the body screws a little, you can back them off a tiny bit here and there without them being so loose that they will work out. Body screws can change how a blade centers, this is the only way I can center my 0350 TS.
 
Hmmm. I thought KAI stated there was no official word for a M390 0777. Yet the store of kershaw just sent out a newsletter saying there is going to be. :confused:

Thanks, I guess I'll just keep trying to adjust it. Hope it gets back to the way it was! It's really stumping me. Oh well. I appreciate it Brent

Please allow me this one post even though I'm not a member of the Order of KAI.

The simple answer in not joining the Order of KAI is that I cherish my independence.

I do read some of the posts herein and have picked up nuggets of information. Thank you.
 
Not trying to persuade you or anything, and just speaking on my behalf. Just because I have the Order of Kai title does not mean I don't have my freedom ect. I still like other brands, and will still speak my mind. I enjoy kershaw/kai products and the people therein.
