A manny pack! Or is that a murse? (Sorry metsfan!)

And a one of him reference. The way i see that, its 2 weeks, 1 per offense! You have been lethaly enforced! I want to see pink meow!

I get the feeling everyday. Just, some days I have it more than others. I can't work out because I don't have anything to do it with. What I need, is a punching bag. That would help relieve soooo much stress. Yelling is usually what happens. And what comes out of my mouth, is probably best suited for W&C :D. Throwing anything probably isn't a good idea because 1) I play baseball 2) I would throw it at the couch, so it would most likely bounce off and hit me or a sibling.

A punching bag is a great idea. When I was your age I had quite the temper and my mom for sick of me punching holes in her walls so she bought me a 50lb bag. Best thing ever. Great workout and stress reliever. Throw on some metal and go at it until your knuckles bleed. Just make sure to wrap your hands and wrists.

That's right! Lay down the law! anyone else feel like $@!? This morning? I've got pink eye:grumpy:

The idea that "getting your anger out" via some kind of violent expression reduces your anger is actually a bit of a misconception. Punching bags, hitting walls, etc. are more likely to focus one's anger than actually relieve it. Hitting something out of anger is a reinforcement, not a release. If you're looking to actually relieve anger, then more calming activities would be wiser, as well as activities that shift focus to something creative or productive.

Ya, i havw a friend who punches bags or squeezes his fists wen hes mad, which is most of the time, it never helps, he just gets more pissed and if hes ticked at someone, punching a bag or yelling and what not, only cooks his anger more

Maybe that's for most people, but that's not how I work. If I sit down and do calm things, I think about what makes me mad. It doesn't help. It just fuels the fire even more. If I do something physical, I get tired and will probably fall asleep. When I wake up, I'm fine again. If I don't fall asleep, I lay on the couch and watch baseball.

I listen to music generally. Sometimes angry metal. Or a walk. I rarely resort to hitting things though. I do agree with working out as well.

I think Mark's talking about that aluminum handled lockback he showed in Mario's give away....I lost a victorinox huntsman *single tear*

No, not that one.

Once I get to a computer.

Wow, some people really like to stir the pot. I think that individual would have done better if he at least answered some basic questions. Like where he got the knife. But no.

Wow tecstar sure wants a premium for his "rare" leeks. I don't even know that ebay would bring those kind of prices on most of them.

Oh, did you mean you lost a knife for the first time?

Trolls will troll...

No joke, you could get a 560 for those prices...

Throwing stuff seems to help. It's like you're putting distance between the object and your anger. Also focusing on something has been seen as a way to dissipate it. It works with pain, for some reason. Not the same as worrying it, though, I guess.

If you're thinking of what is making you angry, then you're just doing the mental version of punching something. You're reinforcing the cause instead of shifting focus; the focus remains on the anger. Doing something physical is fine, like as was said, working out. That's productive, requires focus, and brings positive rewards.

As a drummer, I have a great way of relieving anger. Some people would incorrectly assume that it's because I'm hitting things, but that's not the case. When I would bash on the drums, I'd play terribly and feel worse about it. I do exercises, play music, and shift my focus to being part of music, enjoying it, and accomplishing something. Actually, that reminds me of a video. This relates somewhat to what I'm saying,

Just skip to 2:30 or so:

That whole thing, and his subsequent thread, was hilarious. :D

I don't think he's a troll...just not very shrewd. You know, I've had Benchmades and Microtechs that I really didn't like. Know what I did? Returned them. End of story.

Ok...I can agree with that. In other news I just realized the price of a set of three spyderco bench stones is the same as a base model edge pro apex.

What should I get with $48? You guys are probably getting tired of these types of questions, but I really can't think of anything.
