Have neither. I'm going to get the Leatherman PS4 in Blue though. After my job, I think I'm going to pick up an Olight S20.Have a multi tool? Another kind of flashlight?
I like the S20 a little bit better because It's slimmer (0.92" for the S10, 0.875" for the S20) and longer. I can get a better handle on it and I feel like It'll carry better versus the S10. The only downside I see to the S20 is It's bezel up carry only (at least that's all I can tell from the pics, correct me if I'm wrong). I'm hoping that I can get over that being that It'll stay in my cargo shorts pocket most of the time. It's also got more lumensGood choice Daymon. I think I'm going to get the S10.

Sweet! I'll be switching that thing as soon as I get it. Does he mean the difference between 5 and 100, or the other settings? It can switch pocket clip position. Another downside is that there is no setting between 5 lumens, and 100 lumens. And if you watch cutlerylovers recent review of the Maverick he says, that unless you're a light fanatic, you won't be able to tell the difference on how bright it is.

Oh, I see what you're saying. I guess that does make sense. He did a review of both the M10, and M18 at the same time. He said you can't tell a big difference between their max output, unless you're a light fanatic. (M10=350 M18=500)
Nice! I want to get a 10/22 when I get older for Squirrels and Rabbits. I was also looking at air guns. Those are pretty cool and fun to shoot (any gun is really).Woohoo, I just won a 30 round mag for my dad's 10/22.
Though I had an unfair advantage since the winner was determined by his wife, and I used my purple blur![]()
Hmmm.....now you've got me thinking. I'll have to check out the S15.I'm sure some of you are fans of his, but I'll recommend taking what cutlerylover says about flashlights with a grain of salt. From what I've heard in his material, he kind of borders on Late Boy Scout in terms of real knowledge. I've found it best to learn about lights from the folks who really know all there is to know about them, as that kind of info will get you the proper facts about each light you're considering and seeing if the specs fit your needs.
I'd recommend the S10 over the S20 for a few reasons. The smaller size makes it more likely that you'll always throw it in a pocket. Also, while the clip is reversible on the S20, bezel down leaves a fair amount of the tail sticking out. The S10 is deep carry both ways. As far as output, the S10 will push closer to 450 lumens running on a rechargeable Li-ion 16340 battery, which I feel is better for an EDC light, as you could top it off at the end of the day and start off fresh.
If you want a bit more length, you could look at the new Olight S15 which runs on a AA or 14500 Li-Ion.
If you want to see really good flashlight videos and information, you should check out "selfbuilt" on YouTube and candlepowerforums, as well as GoingGear.Com's channel "goingprepared". Both amazing resources, and worth looking at before trying a light.
u could do that before.....

Getting stuff for an EDC loadout is fun.
