Hey guys, I'm going to Daytona beach the 5th. What knife should I bring? I was thinking my Lahar, because of the VG10.

Any S30V or Elmax you have (I don't know if you have either, just guessing :)) should do just fine at the beach, no?

Anyway, go with what you want! :D

Heyyyy everybody.

New Order member here. #0084

My name is Chuck. I'm from Duluth, MN - right at the nostril of Lake Superior.

I'm 29 years old, I work in bulk marine shipping industry. I have a heavy distaste for mustard and a hearty liking for pizza. Just wanted to say Hi before I unleash all of my profound and life changing nonsense on you all.

And Enrico Palazzo is one of my favorite umpires.

Hey Chuck! I'm Kirby!

Welcome sir. If you get the chance put your number in your sig for those who haven't seen you are a member yet.

Freewheeling, greenie, niner etc... a little religion talk here and there is ok but lets not get into it here. There is a subforum for that and I ask any further discussion gets taken there. Thanks for your understanding gents.

I apologize for bringing it up...just kinda pissed me off.

Give the man a beer, he'll fit right in. :)

Sure will.

What's going on this morning gentlemen? I see I missed the induction of a new member. Welcome Chuck! Do you like wimenz?

Whaddup Chuck.
Name's Manny and I work in demolition. 31 years old and from the good ol' borough of Brooklyn in NYC where locking folding knives are illegal...and so is just about everything else.

Welcome Chuck!

I'm going to see Children of Bodom and Born of Osiris today. I'm so excited!

I would bring the SpyKer, Mark. S30v is extremely corrosion resistant so you won't have a problem.

I'm not afraid to show my repped pride! And if i'm gonna do something, i'm gonna do the living biscuits out of it.

Looking gooooood!

I say whatever you want chief. I spent the week at Myrtle with either a DLC Blur or a BB Ram in my pocket. I even swam with the ram in my pocket on accident. I cleaned her up blew her out and she was fine and dandy no troubles. Remember this though, don't take something you would be devastated if you lost it on the beach or had it stolen etc... Lots more sticky fingers at a place like that. I carried my 0360 and CBCFGRN Blur when I went out to nice places, and locked them up when I wasn't using them.

I apologize for bringing it up...just kinda pissed me off.

No worries, it was more of a precautionary thing, with what freewheeling was getting into.

Wimenz and Beerz, cover all the bases!

I like both wimenz, and beerz. Unfortunately I tend to confuse the qualifications of the two...one is supposed to be quality over quantity, yes?

Sorry, I missed this the first time through. There's so much graphical hieroglyphics that I didn't see it. There is actually a subforum on Bladeforums where people discuss religion? Seriously? Oh I know, that would be the swords and battle blades subforum, right? I'm an anthropologist so I tend to look at the why of religion and not the if or whether. There's probably enough evidence on both sides of the whether question to make a case, and both sides should have at least a little doubt that they've got it 100% right. I'm still waiting for someone to prove the existence of matter. So far it's all particles that turn into waves as soon as you look at them.

More on topic, I guess, has there been much discussion in the manufacturing community about atomically precise manufacturing (what most people have mistakenly called "nanotechnology")? Seems like you could make a pretty spiffy knife with that. And since knives are sort of an intermediate size (compared to refrigerators and cars) they could have APM components within about a decade. I'm thinking of things like bearing pivots that virtually never wear out and have virtually zero friction, or blade materials that don't deform, or reform to original condition after a deformation. Exotic new looks, too. Sky's the limit on that. How about translucent blades?

Woohoo, I get to drive today. But instead of driving my mom around in her car, I get to drive MY car

I wonder if I can drive to Daytona..........Wait my sisters are going. Nevermind, I don't want to drive to Daytona. :D

I don't like driving with anyone but my mom or dad. My brothers are constantly yelling in the backseat and they always put the window down, which I find annoying.
