Ok, guys. I'm going to buy an extra course diamond stone for my lansky.
Should I also get the sapphire stone too? Does it put a mirror polish on the edge?
 
This may be stupid question but is there any 0600s still around at dealers? or will i have to hope to find one in exchange?
 
there are a few in the xchange and teh bay, but thats it.

truth is Mark, the sapphire stone helps get closer to a mirror edge, but doesnt do what the wicked edge does.

It still gets it wickedly sharp though right. Because I don't care much about mirrored edges, as long as they're stupid sharp.
 
yes, it does. I recommend the entire diamond kit if you are going that direction. I actually used the diamond kit, then the yellow ceramic stone, then the 2k ceramic stone then paper and then leather strop

Is it necessary that I get all the diamond stones? I mean, I'll get them eventually, but for now I'd like to keep some money to spend at the beach.
