Sweet! I just wanted to make sure. When the time comes around and you decide to go, shoot me a PM and I'll talk to my mom about it. She might be a little hesitant with me going to Georgia with a complete stranger (at least too her), but I think after talking to her for awhile about it and telling her about the whole experience and what It'll be like for me to experience it, she won't be able to say no :D. I'll tell her about Mario, Manny, Adam, Thomas, Kirby, Mark and whoever else is going so then she'll know what I'm actually doing and I'm not just going for the heck of it. She'll probably make me pay for some of it, but the experience will trump the cost.
 
yep im wondering how fast the hotel rooms fill up? im looking foward to meeting some of the guys from here. Also do people take some of their collection with them to trade and shair? Do they let u carry ur own knife intio show?

Technically your not supposed to trade or sell at the show unless you have a table...but there is the "pit" basically where you go to trade, chat, and drink. And yes, you can bring your own knives. :)

Will do. She's pretty cool about this kind of stuff, but going out of state with a complete stranger (to her) is taking it to the extreme. I've gone on weekend fishing trips with friends with a couple hours notice before we went, but that doesn't compare to something like this. Of course, I won't tell her about it a couple hours before, but I think you get the idea.

i saw ppl carrying like 12" and bigger fixed blades in.... I walked in with 15 knives just me

I don't know about your mom, but my mom wouldn't budge.
Mom, this guy I met on the interwebz said he'll drive me down to Atlanta to go to Blade show. (roughly 750 miles away)

Maybe after she talks to Eric, and runs a couple background check on him :p

I saw a guy with a seven foot custom zulu spear in damascus. I think a pelican case will be fine. :)

I think I'll just clip my most cool knives to my pockets, so I don't have to carry it around.
 
Atleast u guys have parents that care......there are millions of kids and young adults out there who parents dont care at all what they do

Whats ur moms number, ill call her and use the speech from 'taken' about how you are about to be "taken" and that there is nothing she can do about it.

Well, if I word it like that, than there's no way in hell she'll let me go. If I do something along the lines of "Mom....there's this knife show called Blade Show down in Atlanta every year, and one of my knife buddies (I call you guys my buddies when I talk to my parents about you) said if we can meet him somewhere, than he'd be willing to take me for the weekend. I know you're probably throwing up a bunch of red flags, but Thomas (I'll explain to her who that is for about 5 minutes), Kirby, Mark, Adam, Mario, Manny, etc. are all going too. I promise that I'll talk to you everyday and let you know what's going on. I'll ALWAYS be with someone I know and I'll be spending most of my time at the Kershaw/Zero Tolerance booth (she roughly knows what/who they are)." By this time she'll be bored out of her mind and ask a few questions that I'll swiftly answer and she'll know that I know what I'm doing and she'll say yes :D. Sound like a good plan? I'll kind of make it sound like a rant. It'll be a very good toned rant though.
