Order of KAI Official Hang Out; Part Deux - It's Enrico Palazzo!

This is the best ice cream ever (or at least that you can buy in the store)

Tomorrow morning I think I'm going to go for a run, because of my recent food choices :p

Franklin Countys best provided me with numerous memorable moments while I was in college.

VT will do that to you!

My school doesn't have sprinting track team, only distance.
Currently I'm able to full out sprint for a quarter mile. I can continue to half a mile, but after a quarter mile I'm no longer sprinting, it's more of a jog.

Keep at it, try cross country. I have noticed especially in the south, there aren't many good tracks if any. Most are asphalt which sucks balls. Try running in spikes on it let alone running a corner. If you are lucky enough to not fall, your feet hurt like hell from the hard plastic/ metal to asphalt. The local one highschool has an asphalt track and I've jogged it but refuse to kill myself running it. Taught the kids some essentials on that track for a parks and rec meet.

I am very curious what one of my favorite knife makers is doing browsing this thread...I see you down there Ray

Speaking of moonshine.... I do live right below the wettest county on earth! Isn't that right Brad....;)

Indeed. Last week the revenooers busted up 2 450gal black pots :grumpy: ...mash ready to run. Franklin County has become a hotbed for LEOs recently. Dam Tickle and that TV show ruined it for a lot of people.

The "boutique" stills have mostly moved out of Franklin because of the reason above. They can now be found in Floyd County. As you know this is closer to Blacksburg than Franklin. I must say, this season has already produced some excellent runs. As we get closer to the end of September, I hope to have a decent supply laid in. Peach, strawberry, some cherry and a boatload of clear. Bring on the winter.

Damson was always my favorite. Come to think of it, the last "apple pie" I had came from Floyd.

I was wondering what the impact from that crap would be. They are more over if not in pittsylvania county than the bottom corner of franklin, and henry. I think I only have a 3/4 full jar left of clear. The wife stole all the apple. I haven't tried peach yet.

I may have heard something about Floyd, from a family member. Bent mtn. and Copper hill sure are beautiful!

Some guy on Instagram claiming every 550 and 560 he looked at in a knife store had sticky locks and they had to use other knives to unstick them. I've owned 3 560's, 2 550's and a 551 and none of them have ever had sticky locks. ZT carbidizies the lock faces don't they?

I haven't ever had a problem with sticky lock. Guess I'm lucky when it comes to knives.

So, if they were using other knives to unstick the locks, does that mean they were using them as prybars? I remember reading some time back that the early batches did not have carbidized lock faces, but later ones did. I don't remember the source though. Neither my 0550 nor 0560 have a sticky lock.

Well, every 056x model I hav (3), and 055x model I have handled (also 3) has had some pretty extreme lock stick develop for a little while before it breaks in. I don't deny the issue but there is an extremely simple fix. Disassemble and color the blade tang and lock face with a few layers of sharpie, that has always smoothed them out until they break in.

Hey guys, I found a snap on tanto fixed blade (composite blade) $74 and no bids yet. PM for link.

^Excellent. Good stuff.

Guys, I'm going to sell my Hinderer pens, specifically a user copper and a user black aluminum. Also, likely selling my Fellhoelter TiBolt as well.

I'm still on that search for a pen, and the Investigators fell through. So, I'm vacating funds. I'll likely post them on here later today, but you guys will get first dibs.

Thanks Mario.

Will, I won't sing for you, but I'll give you an idea of what I sound like.

Pretty much (almost exactly actually) like this.

Perhaps one of those Matthew Martin carbon fiber/Ti pens will quench your thirst bud.

Anyway, how is everyone today?

I jogged another 4 miles. This time it was on a mountain bike trail. I couldn't go all out because I didn't want to separate myself from the family.

You have a dog?
Yeah, at my dad's house, which is where I've been for exactly a month now. His name is Burton and he's a Pit Bull/Boxer mix. I posted a picture of him awhile ago. He's about 2.5 years old.
That sounds odd, just saying
Pervert.....
What are you talking about?
They're talking about Moonshine.

He's obviously talking out of his ass because my 0551 doesn't have any lock stick or any lock issues for that matter.

Well, corn detasseling is officially over today! I'm sad and happy at the same time. Now I just gotta wait for my last two paychecks to arrive and see about spending some of it.

Hit up Six Flags today and I am absolutely exhausted. I am more wiped now than i have ever been on any of my intense lifting days.. it was amazingly fun though. We got through all of the roller coasters twice.

Stick- My TiBolt should have been delivered yesterday, so when i get home i'll let you know what I think. Perhaps it might kick the S&W right out of its place in my EDC. I am considering having it ano'd bronze.
