Order of KAI Official Hang Out; Part Deux - It's Enrico Palazzo!

Steel, you should also scope out New Graham if you haven't, and also House of Blades. I know Matt from House of Blades doesn't do preorders, but he usually gets some in. So, if you're still looking by the time they drop, and I find one available for sale I'll pick one up for you. Worst case is I'll end up with an extra, which I can easily sell anyway. So, I'll try to score one for you in addition to you looking.

VVV, I know that, thank you. However I really doubt that toughthumbs meant to portray that rock in his online handle.

SoOOoOOoO, here's something nice, ZT0600, serial number 0002. Manny is getting #0003. They arrived yesterday courtesy of Thomas W, who again, is the most awesome person in the world.
I appreciate it Stick. I am good for the money :).

Very generous of Thomas, he is a standup guy.

Morning fellas.

Toughthumbs...man I can tell you I actually didn't mind that dude but his work just isn't for me. I am not of fan of pimping...I am a lover of clean, simple designs. Overly milled scales, acid washes and rocky looking stuff just turns me off. Rocky isn't the word...more like Aggrocrag-esque (Nickelodeon Guts reference). But to each his own and if you like it, then ya like it. But there is nothing he can do to improve upon say a para2 or a ZT Hinderer...at least to me there isn't.

Now as for custom stuff, at the New York Custom Knife Show last October, sticky and I saw some stuff from Jürgen Schanz and if I've ever been impressed by custom work...it was his stuff. Elegance and function in one package.

Absolutely. Manny put it better than I did. It seems I come off a bit standoffish, and that's not my intent. If you like his stuff, then that's that. :)

Not standoffish, you just say what you feel straight up, no sugercoating at all. The funny thing is that between us both, I'm much more standoffish than you are.

gotta agree bro, things only get more tough, both emotionally and physically demanding, just live it up now while you have the chance.....

steel and lowbro, listening to this, in preparation for mayhem fest, this year will be epic.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cfNLhSGZKhQ Steely you going? I remember lowbrow said the nearest one isnt very close

Nah, I won't be going unfortunately. Children of Bodom, Born of Osiris, Amon Amarth, Motionless in White and a few more bands are going to be playing here the 29th and I'm not going to be able to see them either:grumpy: Trying to get some tattoo funds together.

Seelow, ya, ive tried to make those designs in wood... Since than ive stook mostly with wharncliff since.
Do u have the capability to make recurves?

I could make a recurve but it would be tricky and I really don't enjoy recurves too much. The one I make for you guys will probably be a wharncliffe or maybe a drop point blade just to keep it simple. I want it to focus on the cutting performance and ergos the most.

Holy. Crap. This knife is huge! I am in love. I favor thick blades, heavy folders, and amazing machining technology. This thing is definitely a keeper.

Im with you man. Big blades are the only way to go. I always laugh at the people that carry those featherweight edcs.. “Look! This thing weighs 1oz and is like .01” thick.. Its barely noticeable!”

And then I hand them my Regulus, and they fall over because its way to much extra weight... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Ha, I hear you. I just got my 0600 in and let me tell you...I am so glad ZT created a monsterpiece that is so thick and heavy. That's right, I said monsterpiece. Quote me on that. I can't explain how much I enjoy this knife!

Sorry blades, wasn't trying to make anyone feel bad! I just was on the boarder of whether or not I was going to really like this the way I like my CBCF. But man, this is def a keeper, fo sho.

Eh, I like the 0600 but I really just want an 0801.

There really is no way to express sarcasm in text (guess I was being Facetious though, not sarcastic) that being said I do want a 0600.

It's all good. I was surprised that it came in today, on account that I emailed Dave pretty late in the afternoon (central time) on thursdee, and it still arrived in 2 days. I swear he has minions...

I'm sorry to hear that too, Iceman.

On a different note, I've been working on a small project at work that involves creating folding knives from paint stirrers. This is a very ROUGH draft of what I am planning on doing eventually. The following pictures show what I have done so far with this idea. I am not anywhere near done with any one of these, but I grabbed a few of them and brought them home from work to show you guys. Let me know what you think! Just remember, they are not close to being done, they're just ideas that I went with and tried to mold into something that was in my head. I don't know if you can tell exactly what it is, but there's file work on the backspacers of these knives. And, they're pretty dirty, as my hands are usually pretty greasy and covered in brass shavings (I work with ammunition). They're nothing fancy, but they do open and close! Enjoy!
