Yep. I know there is a bottom layer and then the pluck layer in the base. Just top to bottom of the pluck layer.

The pluck layer is roughly 56mm tall. but in mine there's two seperate pluck layers. So both of them together equal roughly 112mm tall.

You know, i've been collecting knives for a few months, and I have yet to get a good sharpening system. I just have a simple Harbor Freight stone that kind of sucks, I really need something now.

Unless you're solely a collector and not a user, I don't see the point in owning a bunch of knives if you can't sharpen them.

I wasn't talking about you, or anyone in particular for that matter, just if someone is going to buy knives to use them but not be able to sharpen them, than I don't see the point.

most, and i say most sparingly, people dont actually use their knives. they just carry them and thats it. sharpening is nothing more than a simple "hone" to 90 percent of ppl
