most, and i say most sparingly, people dont actually use their knives. they just carry them and thats it. sharpening is nothing more than a simple "hone" to 90 percent of ppl

that is very true, when i first got my 8cr13mov clash, (still kind of in my half affed knife use stage)
i thought the steel is amazing, now... meh... my best steel is 154cm so i still have a ways to go... but ya
 
... also, i have spent about $15 on 6-7 grits of sandpaper and am able to get my 0200 to near mirror edge... im not saying im amazing at sharpening, just that you dont need to go wicked edge (i know wicked edge does do a heck of a lot better than sandpaper, im just sort of realizing for my uses 1500 grit sandpaper is as fine an edge ill use.. i still want to put a darn mirror on my 0200 though just to honor it lol :D

a mirror edge, while pretty, isnt as functional as like a 1k grit edge. its too smooth for "real" cutting. a 1k grit edge is "toothy" and capable of cutting more things, and will probably last longer. at this point, i usually dont go with a mirror edge for a function edge, but is sure is purty

excactly why i want it, because if i get it to mirro edge, it will just kind of be a pride edc for a bit till it wears down, than just bring it back to 1500 and maybe get it mirror edged again... plus i want to use my moms nice camera and make a better order of kai sig with the 0200
 
send it to someone to have them sharpen to a mirror edge then.... I would do it if you were interested

yes and no, its a Bugatti concept car, i had a huge fanboy thing for the veyron a year ago (still my favorite supercar) and it kind of has a sentimental value to me, its what really got me into mechanical engineering (interestwise)
which led to my facination with any and all physical science... and they just look dead sexy :D

oh god... my school starts in 3 weeks... im going to need to break my edc habits for the year, dont want to subconciously slip my 0200 in my pocket at 7:00 am on a monday :eek:

Well, you don't have to break all habits. What do you normally carry? Things like flashlights and pens aren't restricted in schools

i normally carry a flash light wallet and my 0200, its the 0200 im talking about, and if i brought my flashlight i wouldnt carry it in my pcket because it could be mistaken for a knife clip, same goes for whenever i get a tactical pen
 
Did you know they had to come up with an entirely new rubber compound for tires for the Veyron? There wasn't anything available that could take the heat produced by a 5,000lb car doing over 200mph. They cost $30,000 and last 2,500mi.

On a similar note Shelby Supercars is a local company (West Richland, Wa.) took the production car speed title from Bugatti with a top speed (done locally) of 256mph, an upgraded Veyron took it back with an astounding 268mph.

Shelby, Jerod not Caroll, is designing a new car with 1,300hp to try for a new top speed record.

It was the Shelby Ultimate Aero that took the Veyron's record right? Then the Veyron Super Sport took the record back.
 
This is going to be one badass car.
