Ordered a Sebenza 21 and didn't receive it!

I'm glad it had a happy ending for you. Beautiful knife. I love that carbon fiber exclusive they have.

If it wouldn't have arrived and PO claims it should have, I would be so POed and probably gone bananas! *snicker*
Nice looking knife too. Love the CF.
On a semi related footnote: I signed up with Amazons text notification thing on packages. I almost always get two notifications. Sometimes, I guess the computer is bored and I get a extra notification a few days later. Strange shipping stuff.

This just happened to me on Friday! USPS tracking info said confirmed delivery for a small and large Sebenza I had bought. When I got home there was nothing in my box. I live in an apartment complex and we have small boxes. If it doesn't fit in there they will put the packages in one of six larger boxes and leave the key in your box. Well on Saturday I find out that my packages were in the big box and the postman had left the key in a random box. Lucky I got my packages but after a day of thinking they were stolen or gone I was grateful.

I would like to thank everyone for their replies.

I did indeed receive my package today!

Apparently it got "missorted"...

Yes both packages were handled solely USPS.

And no this wasn't KnifeArts fault in anyway. I did contact them, they called USPS for me and followed up with me, so I have nothing bad to say about KnifeArt.

I was very concerned as this happened to me a few months back, got a "delivered in or at mailbox" USPS tracking conformation, but I never got my package. It was a motorcycle part, that package was left outside of my mailbox next to the sidewalk and was stolen.

Anyway here she is my first and only Sebenza, I absolutely love her. I'm happy as a clam :)

Glad it all worked out! What a gorgeous knife

This is why about 5 years ago I sprang for a PO box after my (at the time local) PO started accepting shipments by FedEx and UPS directly, regardless of package size. I have not had a package stolen from my mailbox (mailbox shoppers) since.

I have had 3 packages disappear completely from the system, only 1 permanently. 1 went into limbo (scanned as leaving Iowa PO) and then disappeared, showing up 8 or 9 months later. 1 went MIA for 4 months and the 3rd is still out there somewhere - I think I got scammed by the seller as I could never get a tracking number out of him and I was just starting to use Paypal and didn't fully understand their process.

The only negatives with having everything sent to the PO is that
1) I have to make drive 23 miles round trip out of the way since I moved to the farm (need to find a closer PO that accepts FedEx/UPS packages) and
2) sometimes tracking shows a package as being delivered (UPS/FedEx shows it was because someone accepted it) but it may take a day to get distributed to my box.

The prices are different by location, but I get the littlest box for $40 for the year (or $20 per six months). When I get a knife/sword/bayonet/hatchet/etc in, they put a key in my box and I go to the parcel lockers to get my package, or if I get a card indicating the package is too big for a locker (swords/sword bayonets) or is signature required, I go stand in line. Best $40 a year that I spend as it prevents theft of both high $ and low $ items.

I have enough stuff passing through the PO that they all know me by name and PO box. A couple of the clerks even greet me by name just going to the parcel lockers and they ask "What'cha got today?"

Several times, they have had a loose knife in one of the big carts and no corresponding box with a hole in it to match things together. They'll put a note in my box to see the postmaster. He'll ask me if I'm missing a knife as they had found one loose with no box.

The first time it happened, I pulled up my list of pending items and asked

"Is it a small knife or a big knife?"

"Small".

"Is it a folding knife or a fixed blade?"

"Folding knife."

"Not mine. "I have no folders in the queue."

One of the other times, it was a small fixed blade running around loose in the cart and the rest have been folders. All the other instances of loose knives, each time there was an ENVELOPE addressed to me with a hole in it or ripped up pretty badly. Each time, they will give me the envelope and ask

"What was supposed to be in this package?"

I'll check my list of pending purchases, and compare return addresses and tracking numbers and describe what was supposed to be in the package. If my description matches the item, they give it to me. 3 times, They've shown me a loose knife with no possible corresponding box or envelope that turned out to not be mine.

My question here is rhetorical.... Why in the hell does someone ship a knife, any knife, much less a SHEATHLESS FIXED BLADE in an ENVELOPE?????

The answer is "THE SHIPPER IS A MORON AND A CHEAP SOB."

I've had good luck with USPS......but sometimes..........
Tracking my package a while ago and see this.
