So after owning several Bark Rivers and various other bushcraft knives I finally decided it was time to see what Blind Horse Knives are all about, They certainly are not easy on the wallet, So I figured I would check out their website to see which model I wanted so I could post up one of my knives in trade for the BHK model I chose, So I clicked on thier site and the first thing I saw was this:

THE BUSH PIG:D:eek:
I could not have hit "Add to Cart" fast enough!
It looks like a sweet bushcraft knife and at a price that I could afford.
I can't wait to put it to use on some unsuspecting wood!!:)

BHK makes fantastic, real-world working knives. They may not be "cheap" but I think you will find it to be money very well spent, and ultimately a great value. Congrats on the Bushpig! Love to hear a follow-up report after you've used it for a while.

Here are a couple of mine:

You guys have some nice blades!
I said to myself that I'm not buying anymore knives!!!
That was a sword and 3 knives ago.
I did not expect to see one of their knives for such a fantastic price.
I hope I'm happy with just the Bush Pig because I cannot afford any more.;)

Knives are like potato chips.

They are bad for you! Well, your wallet anyway.

:D

I love BHK's. I've had the pleasure of meeting LT and his wife at the Mason Dixon knife show in MD, and at the Chesapeake show in MD. I've had quite a few, but their Brumby and Scaatycrafter are the two I own and use now. I'd like to pick up one of their folders, a collaboration with Queen. Slimline trapper with the BHK logo. Every so often I'd ask LT if they were making a slipjoint, and I guess they did :D!

1095 is about as traditional as you can get with knife steels.

They regularly display at the local gunshows. It's really sweet being able to handle a bunch of their knives. Really nice guys and they encourage you to pick up everything on the table. Kinda wishing I had grabbed one of those Queen trappers at the last show.

Nice going, Mountain Wildman!

I like what Blind Horse Knives is doing very much, including the leather that comes with their knives.

I can't wait to see your pictures.

(Thanks for posting yours up, jwren. Have a group shot of them sheathed?)

Yup. An overlooked part of the package, for sure. Their sheaths are very good quality, offer a nice deep fit (which is what I prefer) and are truly sized for each model of knife.

I'll be seeing Dan & L.T the 1st week of April at PWYP. It's been cool to see them start out and grow into the business. All the people at BHK are good people too. The year my wife & kids tagged along to PWYP we had to set up in the rain. The BHK ladies were gracious enough to let us shelter under their tarp & use their camp stove for dinner. My current BHK stable:

Bushcrafter (original run in curly maple & blued blade)
Boat tail Scandi
Nessmuk Necker

Looking forward to seeing what they have this year at PWYP. Trying to decide between the Woodsman or the Brumby.

Smithhammer - nice Longtrail. Use to own one with a scandi-edge, but wished I'd gotten a standard edge grind. The Camp Muk looks nice too.

Nice choice, I also ordered one of these specials. It can't get here fast enough

This is a pic of my Blind Horse Bushcrafter (when it was new)

It was not inexpensive, but I consider it a good value. To me value is more important than price by itself. I really love this knife and I think would be hard pressed to find a knife of the same materials and workmanship for a better price. To me it was worth every penny.

You Sir are one evil SOB!;)
As if I needed to buy another knife this week... :grumpy::mad:
Will be my first BKH as well.

The one Blind Horse I have is a really great knife. I saw that Bush Pig and was very tempted to pick that one up, looks like its a long wait to get one now. I will be curious to see how you like it in use.
