It finally arrived!!
I purchased a Bark River Firesteel in Matte Green
Micarta to go with it and I think it matches perfectly.
I have not used it yet but I will. :)

Here are some of my Blind Horse Knives and I got all them on the monthly specials.

It looks like they come with some seriously nice leather.

They really do. BHK sheaths are some of my hands-down favorites - very well made, with good, thick leather. Clean and simple, and they tend to have a nice, deep fit which I like.

Tony - that tiger maple Bushcrafter is amazing!!

My Bush Pig, which went camping in Wyoming with me last week. What a great camp knife!!:

And....I also bought one. Dammit. I was looking for a gents folder! How did this even happen?

Many people with advanced stages of the disease have asked the same question.

Smithhammer, thanks. The bushcrafter was very first Blind Horse Knife and I think it might have been one of the first specials. I even got to pick the serial #, so I picked 444. I think that steel used in this knife back then was 4140 carbon steel. It's been a good knife.

Jerry -

I'm loving the Drover. It's exactly what I was hoping for - something small enough for easy EDC, but with enough handle to get my whole hand around, and a very useful blade shape. In fact, it's on my hip right now (and most days since I got it).

Here it is in hand:

I hate to be "that" guy, but after owning quite a few, I let them all go for various reasons. Mostly its the O1 steel. I found it to be overly soft and the stock is too thick. Especially on the Scandi grinds. Also, most of the handles are too round and don't index well (they roll in my hand, especially when wet or bloody). I see they are making some different designs now which might have better grip. I like seeing other steels in use now as well.

You are correct. The Bushcrafter by BHK was a design submitted by Tim Stetzer, and their first special run. The guys at BHK got the wood from a guy who made stocks for blackpowder rifles. Don't recall the steel, but the blade was gun blued. Those that got in on them were able to pick the serial number on the blade. The leather sheath was made by JRE leather.

Just got mine a few minutes ago! First bhk and twice as cool as I expected. Handle is great. Weight is solid. I really like this design.
