I am so excited. I ordered the RD-4. Sent MO out today. I will let everyone now what I think.

1/4'' thick, 5160, 4.5" blade with micarta handle in a great sheath for $99. Not a bad deal.

All my other choices did not have both.

Congrats!! I have a very similar version with a spear point. I love it. Currently it's being suited up with a leather sheath. Can't wait to work with Justin again.

Yeah, be sure and let us know how you like it. Is the RD4 a standard order yet, or is it still a custom size?

Nice buy! I've had mine for 9 months now. It is by far the most satisfying knife to use. Although you may want to have it reprofiled with a thinner edge. Let us know what you think!

Sorry to tell ya bro but they really suck so you had better send it straight to me to get rid of and then pick something else !!!:D:thumbup:

I have one w/satin finish, black G-10 slabs. You will love it.

Yeah! right away.:D

I didn't know about an RD-3....Damn.

It's the one on the bottom, but it's a custom, not a production. 4in. from scales to tip, and 3in cutting surface. I had a few thing added to it, I removed the pommel, and got custom scales.

Hey Guys..

samhain...

Any problem with that Little bird sheath...You let me know..

That's one of mine :)

As for the RD4..
I just got one a few days ago..Unfortunately I've been too busy and haven't had time to play with it yet...

Seems like one hell of a stout handful of knife...
Can't wait to give it a good workout...

I just got myself a Ranger Knives RD4 too, a few months ago.

It's a stout "little" knife. Been batonning for firewood with it for 30mins, and the knife was still able to cut newspaper. A few times over my leather strop and it was shaving again. I did reprofile the edge to 25degr.

It's a real performer, you did good Chris! The only negative is, that the sheath could be waaaay better. At least the retention could be much better. Instead of velcro, I like an adjustable strap with button (like the Ontario RAT series sheaths).
Soooo, that's why Normark is going to get an order for a sheath for my RD4 and RD6..........

Overall Justin and Ranger Knives are the bomb!

This is my favorite survival knife...small enough so that it's not bulky, where I can still do finer tasks, like snare building and bow drill making...and big enough where it can chop down a tree. I thinned the edge a little, pops hair off my arm. The clip point is just right; its wide enough near the tip so I don't have to worry about breaking the tip off.
P.S. Not to hijack this thread, but, if anybody knows where Justin gets his slab screws, w/ matching barrel nuts... please, please let me know. Thanks.

That's pretty nice! Is it still 1/4 thick? I got my Rd-4 with a thinner blade at 3/16th and it is one mean slicing machine!:D
