Ordering from BladeHQ.com

Status update: Am tired of going back and forth with Customer Service at BladeHQ so decided to select another model at the same price. I just want to get the knife I ordered and start carrying it. It is not too much to ask.

Tylorg,

I am sorry things panned out this way for ya. I understand you being bummed.

If I may say, however, of the avenues that some of us go through to unite us with some cutlery we're after, BladeHQ has been one of the most reliable. Also, as already noted, they are quick with communication and shipping.

BladeHQ's in stock inventory has been accurate in my experience.
Some certain pages' inventory is not... and that to me, is one of the most annoying things ever.
Again I feel for ya man-- I just think this was kind of one of those "perfect storm" type situations unfortunately.

I would consider giving them another chance. Obviously that's up to you.
In the long run, I think you'll benefit more than not by continuing this relationship.

Good luck moving forward!

Hello knife enthusiasts, I would like to share my first time buying experience from BladeHQ with you. I purchased a Boker Kalashnikov Automatic Knife Safety Orange, 3.3" Black Dagger, $39.99 plus $4.99 shipping.

when I bought mine the auto didn't work

Another thing to note.. If your looking for a good auto you have to spend the money. You can't just expect positive results buying a $ 40 automatic. You just need to save up a bit more and get a good Pro-tech or something like that. Not to excuse a bad knife being shipped out to you but Automatics are just one of things in life you have to pony up for. Take care and just put this behind you.

I love BladeHQ. I think their policies are fair and have had nothing but good experiences with them for what it's worth.

I've purchased 6 knives from Blade HQ in the past 3 months. They have been awesome to deal with and their store manager (can't remember his name - sorry) was kind enough to take the time to compare and educate me on certain knives that I was interested in. Great customer service from my experience and I will definitely go to them for future purchases. It also doesn't hurt that they are about 5 min from my house. :)

Dude, seriously? Not sure how much you order knives but bladehq is one of the best by far. That's too bad you had a bad experience, they really are top notch for service, variety, quality and price. Hope you get it straitened out, best of luck to you.

Gotta pile on with the love fest for BladeHQ here. When I received a knife with a defect, they not only took it back, but personally inspected the next one to ensure I wouldn't get anything but a perfect replacement. Unfortunately for you, they were out of stock after your return. Sorry about your seemingly out of the ordinary bad experience though.

I believe this is a quality control issue. If they are going to convert a push button knife to automatic, at least check to see if there is any damage before selling the merchandise.

You realize this is a BOKER quality control issue...

BladeHQ did not convert the knife to an auto... As talented as they may be..

Thank you for all your input. Am going to put this behind and move on :).

I'm glad you are able to move forward. I hope this experience doesn't put you off from buying from BHQ in the future. They really are a class act. BHQ is my go-to online vendor and they always do a great job. I got a bad knife from them one time and Tyson bent over backwards to fix it for me. After that experience and seeing how much they cared about making me happy, I decided to always go to BHQ first when looking for a new blade.

I have ordered 3 knives from BladeHQ and I have nothing but positive things to say to them, when I email them I get a reply back the same day (unless it's late) I bought the Mini Kalashnikov on sale for $20 and I have on order two more bigger auto's from them. Also bought my ESSE 3 from them. Sorry you had a bad experiance and I'm glad you are moving forward. It's always worth giving them a second chance.

I have bought several knives from bladehq. Not a single problem, fast processing and shipping. No experience with a return or customer service yet. I would buy from them anyday.
But, I do understand your point.

I don't get it - you buy some cheap knife from a highly respected dealer and because they don't work miracles for you they get a thumb's down ????? Think about it !!!!

BladeHQ happens to be one of the best sellers on the web - great prices and excellent customer service !!! Make better choices - you'll always be happier !!!

Again, this. Also just to put it out there, you can change the title of the thread if so desired. Considering your decision to move on (and hopefully give them another chance or ten). Your call, just wanted to mention it. Have a good one!

Ive never ordered from blade hq but I would think boker nicked the blade I would tell them about it I ordered a spyderco endura from wal mart and it had a nick in that beautiful vg 10 so I put a few more in it:p

I'm very sorry you had a bad experience with us. We do our best, but issues are going to inevitably pop up from time to time. Getting a knife with some nicks on the blade would be disappointing but we have a pretty fair return policy and in cases like this where there is an issue we offer to pay for return shipping & refund the full purchase price. There's not a lot more we can do. Hopefully you got a full refund- you have my apologies.

Ah, the nerve of some people.

Cam

I like that return policy. I ll look at them in the future.
