I don't know what you are experiencing but we got paid when your order went through back in Sept

I suppose that could happen, I sold mine for little profit because I could not stand the shallow flat jigging, if it ends up being flipped on eBay I guess it comes back on me.

Weird, I thought the payment was in some sort of limbo until the other day. Oh well. Says tracking was just created today if I'm looking at the right payment so was just making sure.

So all is well and good is what I am hearing, it seems. Fantastic. Can't wait!

B budthachud I'm with you, they didn’t even bring the bevel to the tip on one side of mine haha. My bolsters were also pretty scratched up compared to the pics I’ve see from others.

Anyone have a tip to get this oil cleaned up? This is my first New GEC and goodnight It’s just oozing even after several attempts to get it off.

Yeah I had the same issue with the blade, but at least 1095 is easy to reprofile and get to a very sharp edge. Getting it set properly in my sharpening system for the angle of the blade was a bit tricky though.

I have always had a good amount of luck with rubbing alcohol to get the oil off. If you have gun swatches those work very well. It will kind of keep coming for a while though. They drown the knives in it, for good reason. I wiped mine down with the alcohol and then put some EDCi on the blades, and my own oil on the joints and contact surfaces, and it’s perfect now!

Thats a good call, I used rubbing alcohol as well, the die on the covers started to come off so I got nervous and stopped.

Ah yeah that does happen sometimes and if you’ve got one at the exact color you like, avoid getting in on the bone. I should have mentioned it so I’m glad you did!

I’ve wiped them down like 3-4 times and it still slipping out of my hand. I just need to carry it for a few days and I’m sure it will be fine.
