ORDERS ARE CLOSED! 2023 BladeForums.com Traditional Knife.

More like one of the Szgany if the original story is anything to go by...but hey...I've got a lot at stake here.....stake get it....laughed so much? I started coffin?..🤣 Just thought I would try to lighten the thread up a bit...didn't want it to get any?...meaner?😉
That's all very well and good, but you need a new script writer. 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 ;)🥰

In your profile preferences is this option:

Restore dismissed notices
"Any notices you have previously dismissed will be restored to view if you check this option."

Check that option and save it. The notice will come back at the top of the forum.

Are these sold out? I meet the criteria, but never got a notice on my screen.

Oops - saw @TimButterfield post 721 and restored dismissed notices. Thanks Tim!!! I have one on order.

I think that I dismissed notices by accident as the reason why I originally missed last years Blade Forum knife, because I didn’t remember ever seeing the notice at the top of the screen. I may have accidentally tapped my iPhone screen and dismissed it by accident.

I am surprised, actually but looking at it now I did post a bit 21(!!!) years ago.

My wallet retracts its gratitude and is now quite unhappy.

Traditional forum posts from 21 years ago count 10 times more than posts made recently just to hit the minimum to buy the knife.

I get the hate for the people who just would buy these to flip it, that's pretty universally hated. What I really don't get is some of the complaints about people like me who rarely post here, but are posting in this thread. I will say that while I think my posts in here put me to the required # for this forum, I'm still not going to order until Spark opens it up to people who haven't met that requirement. But there are 2 other factors I thought of. First of all, it's the only BF forum knife, so BF supporters don't really have a choice. If Spark also did a forum CRK, I'd choose that instead. Secondly, maybe being in this thread can get people interested in traditionals. If even just a few people in here stick around, I see that as a win.

The wine and cheese subforum did a subforum knife too.

I have no idea on current availability
I don't see any mention of it, but I hadn't been there is a couple years.
Really? Could you give some direction please? I'm intrigued.
A group of W&C regulars decided to do their own version of a forum knife.

I am here mostly because of my love for traditional knives. Although I have quite a few modern and tactical knives also. When I have time, I need to surf around some more. I didn't even know of a wine and cheese area and am probably missing some discussions and interesting topics elsewhere. Only so much time available for such things, but a little delving into the unknown never hurts?

Blade Forums is huge, catering to discussion on a wide variety of bladed tools, far wider than my limited interests go. I do occasionally read in the General forum and in the Schrade history forum (Levine’s), and drop in on W&C on occassion. I find I spend 99% of my time in Buck Knives or Traditional Knives - my main interests. I do like the idea, as expressed above, that the annual traditional pocketknife brings folks in for a visit or to stay and chat awihile. I would imagine that many folks started with a traditional in their pocket or purse even if they only carry a modern nowadays. I don’t like the small number of opportunists (flippers), but I think broadening the group is worth the risk. Spark’s house here, his rules seem to address the issue as well as could be done. I am grateful for the opportunity to add a GEC (or Buck if we get one of those again) to my collection. I quit chasing GEC pocketknives on the drops, only get one by buying on the secondary or trading for it nowadays. All in all this is a great place for knife folks and this annual knife is icing on the cake. Thank you Spark, OH

I think the requirements for the W&C knife are that you had to know it existed before last week.
