Correct. Gold or higher AND over 25 posts in the traditional forum to be eligible to preorder at the lower pre-order price.

Then, if any are left over after the pre-order phase, non-paying members with over 25 posts in the traditional forum would have the opportunity to order at the higher post pre-order price.

That was my understanding anyway. Seemed pretty clear at the time I read it. But, if I were trying to justify my eligibility as someone who isn't a regularly participating member of the traditional forum, then perhaps I would want to read it differently.

I'm sure Spark will sort it all out in the end. Seems like there is no problem with issuing refunds, so nobody needs to worry about being out anything anyways.

I'm just over here trusting the process. 👍

It’s only reasonable that people who make this particular subforum the one they visit primarily on this site, should feel a little righteous pride and exclusivity around the forum knife tradition -which was inaugurated in this subforum approaching two decades ago. I think a little tar, feathering, and pitchfork-bearing is entirely appropriate, considering the shameless and ridiculous antics a few blatant newcomers inevitably get up to every year, in their obsession with getting the coveted knife, which they really have no claim to.

(I also stand by my above post that by this point, nearly all of those who should rightfully get first priority, probably have already ordered, so indulgence to the numerous gold members who can be forgiven if they interpreted the rather unclear stipulations about who can order, in a way that favors their getting a knife, should be the prevailing attitude. Generosity is a good thing and it’s Spark Spark ’s call, after all.)
 
At this time we have around 130 knives left. On Monday the ordering will be opened to folks with Gold or higher memberships & DO NOT have 25+ posts in Traditional.

The following week it'll be open to members without a paid subscription

Well I live in the faraway mysterious and original land of Andor and ordered and paypal sent my money...sooo Im assuming I have one reserved...as far as international postage goes I've got a kind Count Dracula thing going on whereby a volunteer who has entered my world freely and of their own will is going to receive it and remail it to me in a sinister secretive manner...That plus it makes it a bit easier on Spark Spark Kevin.....I'm looking at you Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic ...but the dawn is coming and I must rip a virgins throa...errm.. have a nice cup of decaf.

Just to show good faith, I was not surprised to see two blades instead of three as I also discerned the following in the first post of the 6-7-23 thread.

EDIT: A sharp eyed member pointed out that there appears to be a rendering error in the middle picture; they are correct, this is a two blade design, not a 3 blade

But seriously, thank you for your time and effort putting this all together. With all the work most probably don't realize you put in just making it a reality with GEC. And handling the payments. The shipping. The back and forth comments. The criticism. It IS appreciated by many.
