Number 166 reporting in. Was hoping for the lighter brown versions, but this will do just as nice.
We must be factory brothers! I just pulled 165 out of my mailbox. I need to take some photos outside, but I was just so stoked to get my hands on it today. I picked up my race packet for Sunday, and the BF knife was waiting for me when I got home.

The main is really, really stiff. It's a struggle to open. I haven't been able to open the secondary yet. Not quite sure what to do with a knife I can't open, but it looks nice. Maybe get my needle files out. I love the covers!

Better put her on the stones my friends! This one checked in with almost 27 degrees per side on the wharncliffe! I ain’t quitting until I’m in the 18s but I’ve got a 3 hour class starting in 20 minutes so I’ll have to hold off for now. Enjoy your knives my friends, they are excellent!

On the contrary, mine went from being delivered today, to now being delivered tomorrow. I think I won't actually get it until Saturday.
I'll just be happy if I don't have to go pick it up from the neighbor's house one street up or down myself.

USPS has gone completely and totally off the reservation down here in South FL.

She’s a beaut, Clark! And good luck in the marathon. Hopefully it won’t be too hot for you. Seems like so many times lately the Chicago is unseasonably hot.

Opened new with old. Thanks to Spark, Charlie, and GEC. What I like - love the blade combo, size and single spring width. No gaps and it’s flush on open. I’d describe pull as about a 5. Negatives? Not much to complain about, maybe a little grit to work out, few more light scratches than I’m used to seeing and I wish it was a little darker but that’s about it. Easy purchase process and a very good knife, glad to have one.

I got #147 if that’s significant to anyone and they would like to trade #s just let me know.

Checking in for the shipping meme. Can’t remember when I ordered, don’t know when it’ll get here, don’t really care. It’ll show up when it shows up. Kind of makes me feel like 1970s mail ordering, but nobody has that kind of patience any more. Great to see pics of others though!!

😂

I wasn't around in the 70s but in the 90s we were still sending money orders off and then sometime, someday, something usually showed up in the mailbox.

It was definitely a different world. Lol. I have packages come from overseas faster, nowadays.

It came sharp enough. Not shaving sharp, but definitely an ok edge. I figure after it gets dull I'll do my thing to it. The first sharpening always takes the longest. I guess it's called reprofiling.

I have no idea what edge angle, but have an Arkansas stone and use two angles. One for slicey and one for more heavy duty. Angle determined by where the back of blade sits on my thumb as its sharpened, lol.
