Oregon knife Show

I'm going to try & make it for sure. I know that Chris will be there representing Great Eastern Cutlery which is pretty cool! I told my better half I'll just drop her off at the mall lol.

I'm going, the second time I will have gone, I went back in 2009 I think, but have been out of state until recently.

I talked with her today. I ink she is pretty excited!

thank you for the info. i just got back from visiting family in Bend. wouldve have loved to attend this show. so lots of traditional makers attend this show?

It is mostly traditional. Oregon has a gazillion custom makers and they will be out in force.

Oregon is full of Tactical companies, but it is a great place for the traditionals as well. When I went to the December show to scope things out, I would say it was 80% traditional. Queen, GEC and, I believe, Buck will all be here.

On one hand, this looks fantastic. On the other, I blew my knife fund in your shop oh, about a week and a half ago... :D

Well, I suppose it wouldn't hurt to go and take a look*

(*Sure, keep telling yourself that, buddy)

Ha Ha...be sure to say "Hi" next time you are in....The show is going to be worth going to, for sure. Even if you don't have any money. :)

I have gotten some of my best antique knives in Oregon!
I will have table U-2 [think Francis Gary Powers, or the rock group depending on how old you are], so stop by and say hello!! Free gift for anyone on this forum!!
Don't tell anyone who doesn't lurk here!!;)

Just for clarification:
  • Gold members can talk about selling knives, if they aren't dealers.
  • Dealers without dealer memberships can post here, if they just talk about knives.
  • Dealers without dealer memberships should not talk about selling knives, even if it is at a knife show.

Unless something else comes along, I'm assuming the "we" is HV and a family member who will be selling the knives from HV's personal collection.

If that or similar is not the case, I assume the post in question will be modified.

Would love to go.... but to far away.

Someone take some pictures to share here?

Have a great time at the show guys - be safe.

400 plus tables, of things that go "cut"!

I've been going for maybe 15 years, and have never been able to see all the knives in three days!!

Yes! Who are you?? Identify yourself!!

Who am I?...
Hmm...
After many long years of life, not even I know the answer.

Just talking to my son who moved back in a couple days ago. 23 years old and he has no idea and I just told him the same thing lol. Which time and where? Just do the best you can was and is my best advice.
Any how I think he meant who are you as in " hey ill be there too are you with a company or just going "

As long as you weren't sent by that kat

Well I'm trying to get a buddy to go along for the ride with me because my better half has decided she would rather stay home. If not then it's not that big of a deal as Eugene is only 2 hours from where I live and I really love that drive going up the coast and over to Eugene so I can always go alone. :) I have never been to a big show like this before. What is proper etiquette? Like say can I bring a couple of my knives with me to try and trade for something at the show? If you have a knife from one of the major manufactures that's going to be there that has serious issues can you give it to the rep at the show to take back to the factory with them for warranty work? That one just sounds rude to me and I'm sure isn't ok but it never hurts to ask cause it could save me on some shipping costs. :)
