Can you make a good size Kuksa with Osage? Now that would be a cool project.

I have tried a few times with no success. The chunks I have are from trimming my trees and are less then par for kuksa making. I end up with pieces to close to the pith resulting in cracks.
I spend most of my kuksa carving time with black cherry.
I would love to replicate these in Osage.

I've got a few chunks of seasoned Osage if you need some. I can't guarantee there are no cracks. Let me know if I can help.

I appreciate the offer but I'm lucky enough to be surrounded by lots of big Osage trees and cut them down often. I actually have some huge pieces that have been aging for 30 years. When I have time I'll cut into one and get to work.
