OT : Flashlights

No one here owns a Pila flashlight?????????????

seems to be really good bang for the buck... alright.. so its not made in USA.. but really, for that price and the fit and finish.. looks to be really good....

I edc a Mcree XR19-C; a truly awesome light. I also keep an Arc aaa-p on my keychain as backup.

What brand holster is that and is it comfortable? I need a IWB one for my STI LS9.

INFA kid is correct, that's a Comp-tac C.T.A.C.. I searched around the internet for a good holster, nothing sold locally. Every gun board that I visited and had the question "What's the best IWB kydex holster?" posted on it had a large following for this holster.

Been carrying Photons in my pocket for a few years, but after stumbling onto Flashlight Reviews I got a few Innovas for the cars and around the house- seemed best bang for the buck, and I'm pretty happy with them. Definitely want to get a Fenix with the Cree now that they're out.

Seeing so much support for Surefires makes me want to try them- aren't they mostly incandescents? Do the bulbs break/burn out much?

They now have a good selection of LEDS as well- I EDC an L4- excellent light- prior to that I EDCd an E2E incandescent- never had one break- but yeah eventually the bulb burns out- I always keep a spare in my spares carrier with the extra batteries

I probably carry more knives than you guys do knives :)

The ones i carry are an Aleph A19XRE, a modded Longbow Micra (with Gd 500 and xre), Millermodded Fenix L1P (xre with McR reflector), Fenix L1D CE (REALLY like this a lot- Honestly i could go carrying this with a Li-Ion in it, and the MM L1p, and take the AA NiMH out of it to use in the L1DCE for ~24 hour runtime on low), and that's about it! The knife i carry mainly is some case knife, or a Fenix KM1.

Really the fenix lights are great, the only reason i carry the other ones is that i dropped sooo much money into them.

The only thing i do not like about the lights is that not ONE of them has a clip- which is a pretty big deal to me!

Pretty much just have one worth talking about. Gladius... Love the compact size and it throws a ton of light. Thinking about a second one, but I got this first one on a mega-sale w/ a free holster. Price has gone up considerably since...

I traded my last surefire for my first piece of INFI. Seemed like a fair enough trade, right? I still got my Night Ops Gladius.

Here is one of my Pentagon lights mounted on my M4A2...

Do you shoot down airplanes Gatorzingo? When the zombies attack I know who I'm calling.

I have resisted the call of the taclight for a long time but now I have a FenixLP2
and spare LP1 case that should be here monday. 45$ canadian shipped for the whole package was just to much temptation. I get the impresion that the Fenix lights are the Scrapyard knives of the tac light world.

Now all I need is a good headlamp.

I wish the P1 had multiple brightness settings, Id buy one for sure then.

P1: single level Luxeon III
P1D: multiple level/modes Luxeon III
P1D CE: Multiple settings like the P1D, upgraded to a Cree LED (~2x's as bright)

All have the same size body, with the only difference being the joint is in a slightly different place (not sure why).
