If anyone is looking for a great American made pack, check out Hill People Gear.
I have owned the Tarahumara and Umlindi in the past and I would highly recommend them. The shoulder strap on these is enough to make anyone fall in love.
Here is the Tarahumara. It's a great day pack.

The Umlindi is a larger 24+ hour pack with the same shoulder strap system.

I let this one go because I wasn't a huge fan of top load style packs. They have the Connor pack to fix that issue.

I LOVE that Altoids tin!!! Nice pack too!

I got it off of fleabay for around $5! It's my overdone fire kit.

I remembered when you posted it earlier in the year or last year. I've been looking for one ever since. Nice bag too by the way!

Thanks bud! I'll message you if I happen to see one of those tins for sale.

Do you mind sharing the dimensions of that tin container? Judging from the size of some of those items in the photo, it looks like could be about 8" in length! Thank you in advance :)

I'll measure it out once I get home in a couple hours. I think you're right about it being around 8" in length.

Thanks Bud! I just guessed about 2.5 x the Bic lighter length wise and 1.5 x for the width, putting it at around 8" by 5ish" unless that is a baby size Bic you have there :D

My two most trusted things I go out with other than my knife are a Gortex sleeping bag cover and a Zippo lighter.

Way to be prepared!

I wish there was a way for Zippos to be as low maintenance as a Bic! All I need is to find a magic lamp to rub.....

Had my eye on this beauty for quite awhile and the wife surprised me with an early birthday present. It's the Dust made by Direct Action Gear.

One thing I found is that this fancy laser cut molle doesn't really work well with the standard SURVIVE! sheath clips. If I ever need to go all commando operator I'm sure I could make it work, but it's definitely not as easy to get on and off as standard molle like on my Condor bag.

I really like the size for a day pack. I'm 5' 7" so 20L feels pretty good.
