OT: glock less for the first time in years!

Damn Glocks, good riddence. You're better off anyway

hmmm, i dunno .. maybe you should ask M67....

Sorry, little late to the party, but NEVER too late to slap the glock name around

Lol -- M67 is definitely more knowledgable than I am when it comes to firearms --- but he's also considerably more biased without objective merit too (with regard to his Glock hatred). I heard a Glock stole his lunch money in High School -- I guess I'd be traumatized too ;)

Nope, no lunch money stolen by glock. Just the brain washing of a lot of people who think they're God's gift to the world

Most glocks don't cost much (besides those $1200 ZEV abominations) and they're easy and realitively cheap to replace.

Give it a couple weeks and get another if (for some reason) your heart still longs for one. Only Glock I'd be upset to loose would be an 18 and even then the selector on it is a damn eye sore. Gaston sure as hell didn't reaserch style in anything

I have about 4000 rds through my 23, it's with me everywhere I go. If its not on me it's in my truck, my lock box next to my chair in the living room or my nightstand when I go to bed. You always have to at least one glock.

Yeah! I'm a glock guy and now I know for sure! Lesson learned! But the price they offered for my kimber was insulting but with out my receipts from the smith that did the work I couldn't prove the quality of the work even though their smith said it way beyond his level. But I can't wait to glock shop again and again and well you get the point!

I agree; they're cheap and easy to replace. I wouldn't worry about the loss of any particular one.

You made the right choice. Glocks are fungible and hard to tell them apart. You can always pick up another. At least you still have the Kimber. Glock or 1911 the important thing is you still have a good working firearm.

What pisses me off is Glock's never really go on sale. I've been waiting looking around for a deal to show on a new one somewhere and just never see them come down in price at all. I seen a XD 40 Package with the extra's NIB for $300 the other day on an online store. If I see one at that price again will have to get one cause that's to good of a deal to pass on twice. I gotta get something soon. I miss my guns.:( I blame this place for corrupting me and making me sell my beloved precious pistols.:D

Glock would rather give stuff to LEO/agencies and gummerment agencies at cost or a loss. If you're not that...no discount. Picture the soup Nazi but with fugly plastic guns

Least they're consistent in that aspect, unlike Springfield, FNH, Century Arms and Bushmaster/DPMS (Freedom Group)

My DE .50 Tiger is my totally impractical hand cannon. It was a stupid, crazy pimp-gun purchase but I love the damned thing. It weighs over 4 pounds without the clip in it! Hey, what can I say... I like pretty things. Either the Kimber Sapphire or the Sig P238 is always on me or in my purse.

Guys, if you're wondering what to get your lady for Christmas, I recommend a conceal carry purse. I got one last year as a gift and I LOVE it! Either that or get her a nice, high quality folder or neck knife. Nothing says 'I love you' like something sharp and pointy.

I just love my glocks and can't wait for tax returns and such! I can beat them and not feel bad I can go wade fishing and submerge it all day basicly I've just learned to trust them! Sand, mud, dirt, leaves and small twigs, I've found all kinds of crud in them and they all ran fine! But really it's all a matter of preference .....like I wont touch a beretta unless it's Italian made! I also like the cz75 so I won't say one is better than the other just in my opinion I'd rather have a glock than anything else!

^^^ I'm with you in this. I'll never get rid of my 17. Beauty IS in the eye of the beholder. I like the blocky look of them, this from a SIg guy!;)

Good luck with finding a replacement soon my friend. While I am not a huge Glock fan I have seen them go forever and cant argue with the durability that they have. My thing is that they just dont feel good in my hand. Never had a problem with them performing just dont feel right.

Now the HK USP, there's a good feeling pistol to me.

Anyway, hopefully you get a replacement soon. Will the store that has yours let you put a small deposit down to hold it for you? Might be worth asking. They may have a layaway program.

Garth

Got my first Glock in 1987 and have one ever since.... can't imagine not having one... ;) They are not pretty, stylish or something that has a soul (such as God's Own Sidearm - The Browning Hi Power) but they work and work and work... still if I could have only one... yes it would be a BHP... but a G19 would be next... ;)

^^^ man I swear. I've got to get my hands on Aussie gun laws.... Thought you couldn't get semi autos. Or is that just rifles?
