Here is to hoping that everyone is having a good day, good week, good life. Here is to further hoping that you are going out in the wilderness this weekend.

Cheers to everyone on WSS - post up with how you are doing - good or bad.

Getting snow:grumpy: today and for the weekend YUCK LOL last weekend I went camping. It was in the 60s then LOL I would rather have that again this weekend. But I have a roof over my head and it is warm and I have knife orders yet to do, so a little snow is not so bad. And it is Friday YEA. Still planning on going for a hike through the timber with Kelly Girl.:D
Hope everone has a good day.

It is Friday, I have only two more classes to teach this afternoon, and the school is off next week for Feb. break. Not too bad at all . . .

I'm hoping to use my time off to take a trip to the Cabela's near Hartford. It is pretty new and I have not been there before. I also would like to go out back and see about improving my wet condition fire making skills. Oh - and I have a GEC #23 Pioneer coming in the mail from a trade.

Nice Bryan!

I am leaving tomorrow with the kids to go camping with the kids. Two days to test out my new Aurora and have fun with the family. Furthermore, the in-laws are leaving today. HAPPY DAYS!

Follist, are you a professor as well? Or highschool teacher?

You know i use to post in WSS all the time, but in i got sick:(. and now after a ton of chemo and a pile of radiation, im doing well! Infact today is my last radiation treatment, and then im done for good...YIPPY. Now i can get back to practicing my survival skills and get back to camping and what i love...the outdoors!

So im not just doing good, today im doing GREAT!

I am extremely sick and waiting on diagnosis from my biopsies.
But, I am thankful to be above ground. I am going hardwood shopping with family tomorrow at my favorite mill then we're all going to one of our favorite day trip destinations with the kids and do as much hiking as my health permits.
Fort Worden

I hope all is well with others, now off to work I go.

I'm getting ready to head up North for some cold weather training.... I'm so excited... I leave Sunday.... so I may not be around for a couple weeks...

I guess I'm doin' fine.

Still got a job, in Michigan (where the unemployment rate is the highest in the country).
I had to take a move back to a lower position and will go without any raise or merit increase this year but, hey, I'm working so no complaints here.

Spring is on the way.
Wife, kids and I are in good health.
My dog still thinks I'm worthy of such loyalty.
Bills are paid.
And I can usually find the "cold beer and a quiet place to drink it" that I seek.

Wishing everyone here all the best.

Chris

Like some of you, I'm in education (elementary ed.) and have to get through the day and then I'll be on vacation. The way the kids are all riled up due to the vacation, Valentine's day and the fact that it's Friday the 13th, I don't know if I'll make it.

Wish me luck and then I'll be in the clear. I hope to get some knife-related projects started too (slapping handles on some Ragweed blades, cocobolo scales on my JK Tin Knife and maybe picking up some steel to create a knife from scratch).

Yikes. Hang in there. I'll be sending good mojo your way.

I think it's good to keep active. What kinds of lumber are you looking for? The local hardwood dealers are like candy stores to me.

We are doing good, a little stressed, I am waiting to hear from unemployment to see if they will send me to school , I am looking at taking a physiotherapist
assistant course to hopefully get a steady job,

I have been laid off three times in the last four years and have just done almost 36 weeks of it again.
(Windsor has the highest unemployment rate in Canada now 11% )

it has been nice spending time with the kids while the wife works though...

gives me time to practice WSS and play the bass :)

I actually feel Great today :) My fiance and I are going to a hockey game tonight and are celebrating Valentines day today. Hockey game in South Texas you ask? It's the Corpus Christi Ice Rays  Yes we have a rink down here :o

Feeling very blessed as well, business is running smoothly, bills are paid, and my cat is well fed :p

Tomorrow is going to be a nice break, my fiance and I are going to watch my younger brothers and sisters while my parents go out, which means pizza and movie night for all of us!!!

I hope everybody has a great weekend, J.

Thanks guys!

I am getting some Teak for some repairs to a household full of antique carved Asian furniture and some Mahogany for a Mantle I'm building. I will probably pick up some odd pieces of burl or weird stuff they have for the projects I never get to for myself.;):D

I'm hanging in. School is going alright, I just got an extension on my thesis outline deadline which I desperately needed.

One of my employees at work has been a little less than reliable as of late, and I've ended up needing to cover some of his shifts, but it's not all bad, I get alot of extra hours which is really nice. These extra hours have allowed me to order a JK EWOK, so I'm pumped about that, and I'm also looking at getting a wetterlings forest axe.

Heading to Lansing tonight to visit the g/f for valentines. I somehow managed to get dinner reservations after calling nearly every restaurant in the greater Lansing area. Hoping I might be able to make it out into the woods while I'm there, there's a couple nice parks and a state park not too far as well.

Excited for early March, because I'm going to Hampton VA to see a newly reunited Phish. We're staying an extra day, so I'm looking for some cool stuff to do in the area, I'm hoping to maybe meet up with one of my friends who is in the navy in Norfolk. That or maybe a drive up to Chincoteague.

So I really can't complain, things are going pretty well.
