otto

I checked my paypal transaction record and have found an address and telephone number for Otto. I don't feel I should post it here since I haven't had a problem, but if someone who has had problem needs it--they can contact me via PM.

Thanks but I think I already found his phone number, I tried to call but there was no answer.

Durwood, I sent you a email though, just to comfirm his #

Still no word from Otto.

Anyone have his mailing address or phone number? It's not available through PayPal.

Hi all,
I guess I'm #4, he owes me a Coats shadow in a trade for a Montell ivory jack. I have a fedex direct signature confirm he signed on 8/1 receiving my Montell. I've sent numerous emails and phone calls with no reply or answer other than one instance last week his wife (I presume) answered and said he wasn't home but will be back tomorrow afternoon. Threrfore I'm thinking out of town, vacation whatever..... since then nothing. BTW my trade with Otto for his Alsdorf jack went w/o a hitch but that was approx. a month ago. If anyone here has a connection with law enforcement in Mansfield Maryland contact me I have Otto's address and home phone #. Perhaps we can get to the bottom of this.

I'm a member of the http://www.sharperdeals.net/ knife auction commitee, and Otto was suspended this week for failure to pay for a couple knives he won/bought on auction recently. Same as here, nobody has been able to get in touch with him. Bob, who owns sharperdeals, has tried to call him a couple times without any luck.

The guy has been very reliable in the past...I'm beginning to worry if he has health issues. Hopefully he is OK...

Stuff does happen. I had a reliable customer go persona non-grata on me once for several months. It turned out he had been in a BAD car wreck that nearly killed him.

Before everyone jumps on Otto, I think something is really preventing him from communicating with the buyers etc.

I sent him something on July 24 (I'm the Seller) and normally a buyer would let me know when the item arrives but Otto's been quiet even know I'm pretty sure the item has been delivered. So something may have happened to Otto. It's hard to tell, but he seems really straight and nice in our communications.

Perhaps a phone call is the best way to find out what happened.

If the person that answered the phone at Otto's residence didn't mention anything about there being any issues other than that he wasn't home, I doubt very much that Otto is incapacitated.

Here's some Fedex info (incomplete tracking # for privacy), after looking at it again I see he signed for it on 8/4 not 8/1 as I previously thought. Fedex also provided me with a .pdf pic of his actual signature. So.....there's been no contact with him after 7/30 but he signed for this package on 8/4 that's pretty much a slam dunk in my book. I'm waiting a while longer b4 I go to the next level... maybe just maybe he has a valid reason.

Since filing the initial discrepancy with PayPal I still haven't recieved any information via email, PayPal, or this site's im/pm. I don't have any issues at this point with taking this as far as I can go. Otto said he would ship "in the morning", didn't, hasn't responded to me since, but has continued to do business and sign on to the site, it's on him now.

Man its disappointing to see this stuff happening. I wish you the best of luck resolving the issue. I recently had a guy rip me off, but got the knife back after hunting him down. Keep at it...and you will get your blade or money back! Sorry for your troubles fellas.

WOW ! that's a good one ! That means he was still ''around'' like 2 weeks after he sold some of us knives and by that time he received many, many, many emails and he wasn't able to answer any of them ??? WTF ! To all the members who were saying to not jump on ''otto'' so fast, what do you think of that?

Could it be the something that happened to Otto is that he needs everyone elses' money to fill his pocket?

This is 2009, there are 999 different means of communication and unless he is in a coma or a bonafide hermit there is free computer access all over the place, pay phones, prepaid cell phones, stamps at .44 cents and friends/family that could help him out. If Otto cannot finish his side of the deal then HE is the one who should be calling frantically......

These are not $5 knives and Otto as a collector knows how "concerned" other collectors become when knives like these go unpaid for.

Short of death Otto is 100% irresponsible because he is 100% responsible to fulfill his side of each deal.......................

I don't know Otto but usually "seasoned" collectors deal with knives at this level and know, without question, what their responsibility is............period

I sold him a knife a while back, it was before all this.
Any way ( and don't quote me) I heard he lost his job.
BUT that is NO excuse to do this kinda crap?

Come on OTTO do the right thing, you will be glad you did......

I hope it all works out for you all, including OTTO.

Later.

TA
