Our "Front Porch" ....

Rubi, I could say so much but I'll just say this...awesome offer to help others, if you need any support the other way around I'm only a button-push away.

Rubi I know exactly what you are saying, and to the younger members of our little piece of the world please heed what Rubi has said. Tough times indeed, our kids need our support more than ever and none of us are immune to its god awful reach. Good side I think any of us would drop what we are doing to help each other, either physically, emotional support or just to listen.

Glad you're alive and kicking Rubi! Thanks for your outreach and words of wisdom. Greatly appreciated good sir

Thank you Gents. Sitting here watching a winter storm rage outside. Couple inches of snow, freezing rain and sleet, 40 mph wind gusts on April 15th.
Life is good.
Crazy.

^ its great to see you posting again Rubi. :) I have the same weather here also. 30 degrees, Freezing rain, sleet, snow, and 30 mph winds. I'm not a big fan.

I got 57 degrees, partly cloud, chill from the wind off the ocean. ;)

As for what Rubi said... life's a team sport. It's nor nearly as fun without someone to share it with.

Ah to hell with that weather guys!!! At least that's how I feel about it....

Oh and I hope all is well Rubi. The talk thing goes both ways dude

I never once thought when I joined this forum that I would see such camaraderie. There are many great people on this forum who are always willing to help or educate. Not to get religious but I've learned a long time ago that God gave you two ears and one mouth. That is because "you" should listen twice as much as you talk. I have learned many things about knives on this forum. I have also learned to be a better person.

Rubi, I wish you the best in your personal life. I fully appreciate the advice you always seem to share so willingly. For that, I thank you.

Rubi,

Good to see you, I was starting to wonder.. Sorry to hear about the troubles, I'm sure you'll turn it around. I, too, worry about the perils faced by kids today versus the seemingly benign environment I/we grew up in.

Sorry to hear about the weather too, that's just unsat. If it makes you feel any better the pic below is one a coworker sent me yesterday as he was on his way out into Prince William Sound for the shrimp opener that I was not able to partake in - as you can tell, the weather couldn't have been better.. Meanwhile I had to sit on a hiring board listening to (bad) interviews and work on my master's thesis....

Son of a ....!!! was looking forward to your tales of the sea matie!!! That's gorgeous! I really need to get up there some time real soon!! Alaska is a great and wonderful land I need to experience :D

Soon, hopefully this coming weekend - assuming I can wrap up a complete final rough draft by tomorrow night... And the weather doesn't turn to crap between now and then..

Good morning gents at 5 AM there is 2 and 1/2 inches of snow on the ground and 20 degrees today's high expected 36. My roofing project over my shop area is half completed and the rest has blue tarp protecting it from the snow. April 16 and we still, can't get a break, well it is what it is and is and one day closer to the real spring.

Low 50s here this morning, but going to warm up to 70s later. :) Rubi thanks for the words of advice. Wish all the kids today were required to go to a boot camp run by my grandparents generation. :) Would make them better people. It's a generation of entitlement, the "me" generation. Got two coming up through it now and it's a lot of work.

Rubi, I don't know you as most do on this forum but thanks for sharing. We've been blessed with a couple of days of 60-65 degree weather here, and was able to get some yard work done. Woke up this morning and the drizzling rain is back for a couple of days. To change the subject, I have something in the mail being delivered today.....very excited, as it has marsh green scales..LOL, hopefully I'll be home to sign for it or it'll be an uneasy night rest tonight. Eric

I'm the manager of my sons T-Ball team. Our first practice is scheduled tonight from 6-7pm. Some snow on the ground and a high temp in the low 40's is not a recipe for success.

I hope the field gets closed by the town.

Good luck to you guys with the snow. Good thing you guys left your snow gear at ready!

oldbugr, it is wharnie Wednesday too!! Haha!

A big Thanks to Joe, for letting me get something that's been calling me. And a good Wharnie Wednesday at that...
