Yup, I too got a B/O update yesterday. Feel good about it though. At least they're still talking to me. :D
 
We received 10 more of these which will go out the door this afternoon. Check your emails for updates!

If you didn't receive anything your knife is still on backorder and there is a *small* possibility we'll see a few more from Spyderco or one of our distributors.
 
Awesome. These are going to be pretty collectable in a little while. Any idea the size of the run from Spyderco?

Don't quote me but what comes to mind is 600 pieces.

If I were facing a multiple choice question and had to guess based on my first inclination, that's what I'd guess with :D

Regardless, I have two of these puppies and Spyderco should be commended on this run. It's such a great EDC!

I have a few preorders with them myself and they are certainly diligent about preempting my wondering with their emails :D (two 0551's and a HEST folder)

I can't complain . . .

I ordered from Knifecenter on 10/7 late afternoon IIRC, and it just shipped today.
 
700 pieces I believe. I think it said in the paperwork that came with mine. I'll double check it later tonight.
 
If anyone knows where to get one of these I would love to know and I'm easily reached by email.

I contacted 3 different dealers on 7-17-10 within 24 hours of Sal mentioning the knife. One place has decided they aren't doing pre-orders because there are too many people looking for it even though they initially said they would. The other 2 places I somehow got placed way up on the list and both places have gotten their allotment of knives and it doesn't look good for me getting one. I can't believe I am having such bad luck with knives lately and I am pretty bummed I am not getting this even though I was probably one of the first people to contact these dealers.
 
I preordered mine from GP almost as soon as it was announced 10/2 and before it closed the next day. I just got the shipment notice today. I hope people are able to track them down.

I did exactly the same thing, ordered mine the same day on 10/2 and got my shipment notice today.
 
I too received shipment notice today, or yesterday I guess, and I will be getting it today by the looks of it.

I just got an email from newgraham. i asked to be put on their waiting list a few weeks ago. they had a left over so i was lucky to snag it up :D

I know it's been said and I've said it myself several times but Spyderco hit a home run here. Even if you don't like the compression lock for any reason (you can't complain about it's design and strength though!), this CF S90V Para 2 is the bomb. I got two and each are as perfect as you can get from production. The blade length is perfect for EDC. The handle is perfect, not too long or too short (I have large hands though), the handle real estate is designed very well and the weight is fantastic for the size of this knife. It's also built strong. This is not a gentleman's knife by any stretch but at the same time, it can be carried as such. I Suspect this knife can take a good amount of abuse and not skip a beat. All this plus you get CF scales and Spyderco S90V - just a world class production knife

I'm delighted with the outcome!

Reeek, if you insist on posting that you have two of these right below guys who haven't even found one, the P2 won't be the only bomb in your life. :) ;) :eek: It is definitely a home run, but so were the two preceding S90V sprints. Great stuff. :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:
