Para 2 CF S90V

Got both of mine today too and they are very nice knives . . . Not a whole lot of difference from the Para 1 to me either. One will be in my pocket tomorrow :D Both are very much keepers. The one I'm going to carry has a wider edge grind while the other has a very nice, thin edge grind. Both VERY sharp. Both very well built. Both with excellent fit and finish. I see none of the cosmetic quirks I did with the M4 Millie.

The one I'm going to carry had a little side to side play but I was able to adjust it to dead solid by removing the clip and slightly tightening both screws on the pivot bushing until I reached that solid point and the acton wasn't affected much at all. Just a tad tighter but I am certain that will burnish out with use. I'm pretty certain most of not all Para 2's with any side to side play can be tightened up perfectly if you remove the clip and adjust both sides of the pivot bushing. Not just the exposed side.

And at 3.75 ounces, this is a FINE EDC :D :D

If I have to nit pick it's more about the placement of the compression lock tab. When I open it manually without flicking it, I get pinched just a little bit on the pad of my palm at the index finger with the release tab. I don't remember this happening with my past Para 1's but then, I'm not young anymore either ;)

Cool. I'm still waiting for the email from them. The 2nd one I have on order shipped yesterday, should be in my hand Wednesday. I'll throw some pics up then ;)
 
Did anyone get an Edge U Cation letter with their knife. Mine which arrived from Knife Center yesterday had a letter from the Dragonfly II instead of the PM 2.
 
I have Edgeucation forms in both my boxes but I didn't check to see if they were for a Para 2 or not.
 
Does anyone know if any dealers have CF Para 2s in stock? I have one on pre-order from KnifeCenter but from what I see on the web I will likely not get one as I have a relatively late reserve date. I am now scrambling to track one down and would be grateful for any leads.

I hear you. I didn't even bother to pre order at KC or anywhere else as I was late as well. I personally found no dealers that have them in stock, but if you are hell bent on getting it at any cost (or almost), there's two auctions on eBay at the moment. One is an auction without a buy now and it's now at some $210 with 6 days or so left, the other one is from someone I already purchased stuff in the past and if I remember well, he has 2 of them at FULL retail price "buy it now".

I personally am not counting too much on finding one that easily, so if it happens it's ok, if not it's ok as well. In the mean time, I found a bit of consolation in buying a nice JD Smith from Knifeworks for $99.70! :D
 
I picked one up from Blade HQ ( thanks to LorenzoL ) so I just called Knife Center to cancel my pre order and the fellow on the phone said they still have not received theirs.

I called BladeHQ. Apparently you got the only one they received. On another note, the price on their site was originally $189.95. When I checked later, it was $199.95. Early today, it was still $199.95. Then I refreshed the page, and it went up to $219.95. If I need that kind of headache I'll shop on ebay.
 
Sovereign I ordered from Blade HQ as soon as Lorenzo posted they had them. My account was charged $195 including shippng.

Mine arrived today. It has the correct Edge U Cation letter (paramilitary 2).
Very nice knife.

Anyone hear anything new from GP? I got my pre-order in on 10/2 and apparently missed out on their first batch. I really don't want to miss out on this one.
 
We have knives en route from Spyderco as we speak, should be here early next week. After these arrive we'll send out emails to everyone letting them know the status.
 
UPS has been holding mine in my city since the 24th. And the scheduled delivery date is still scheduled for the 29th. It amazes me how bad UPS really is. Then they will probably throw down my driveway.

I cant wait to get this knife in case you cant tell.

Awesome news. Thanks for the update. I got my order in early in the morning of the 3rd, so I'm hopeful I'm on the list. I really, really need to spend some money.

LOL, bolded part is emphasized by me :D UPS is a last resort for me, they cost twice as much as USPS and take a helluva lot longer to deliver.

Example:

USPS Priority = 2-3 days for about $5 usd
UPS Ground = somewhere around 5 days and cost $10 usd

The wait is half the fun and you will love the Paramilitary 2 (especially since you will get the S90V version :thumbup:)

I also have something coming UPS and they have been holding it since the 24th, and were it is I can't go and pick it up either. It will sit there for a few more days.... :grumpy:

I really hate UPS.... :mad:
