Para 2 CF S90V

I also have something coming UPS and they have been holding it since the 24th, and were it is I can't go and pick it up either. It will sit there for a few more days.... :grumpy:

I really hate UPS....

Just count yourself lucky you don't live overseas.... that's when USPS gets really scary.

I called BladeHQ. Apparently you got the only one they received. On another note, the price on their site was originally $189.95. When I checked later, it was $199.95. Early today, it was still $199.95. Then I refreshed the page, and it went up to $219.95. If I need that kind of headache I'll shop on ebay.

$220 seems ridiculously high. I know S90V eats up belts, but c'mon! You can get a secondhand small Sebenza for about $40 more. Wasn't KC's price $180? That seems about right.

This has me really worried about the price when they eventually reach us up here in Canada. My guess is $250 CND. That's what the S90V Military was listed at in the only Canadian store that carried them.

Perhaps Spyderco will take note and allocate future sprints to more reputable dealers.

I think the Canadian dealer KMN is refering to is a reputable dealer. If it is the same guy in Vancouver I'm thinking of, then he is an excellent dealer.

Yeah, we're thinking of the same Vancouver guy. But I don't think that's who Sovereign is suggesting may not be reputable. I think he was referring to the place that jacked the price of the S90V Para up to $220. The Vancouver guy/place is excellent. Some of the prices end up being high because of committing to purchases at certain exchange rates, which might be particularly inflated on that day. There are also preposterously higher shipping rates for Canadian-bound orders (even for dealers) and duty fees to factor into the final prices of knives sold in Canada. I've had two Canadian dealers quickly break it down for me to justify some shocking prices.

I have 2 pre-ordered from 1 site and another one on order from a different site,& I still hope that one of those orders come thru.. I got lucky and bought a 2nd knife that a member had ordered so I do have at least 1 para S90v, and I have to say that it is Awesome!! And I do mean Bad to the Bone!!! With that being said, apparently he was on the top of the list & they are working their way down.. Also each knife shop is Not allotted a set number of knives, so some online shops that take way too many pre orders are going to have a lot of un happy customers such as me. I waited way too late in the game, I think? But I hope not!

We have knives en route from Spyderco as we speak, should be here early next week. After these arrive we'll send out emails to everyone letting them know the status.

What's the holdup on these?

I Pre-ordered mine 10/2......

People ordered their from different places a month after we did and they are getting them weeks, going on a month before we are.....

What's up with that.....

They are still in production, which is ongoing. This is not like the M4 TiMil RIL run, which was a dealer exclusive with the entire lot shipping out on one day.

After a solid week of carry, this one has exceeded all expectations.
My advice is, get one if you can.
This one has become one of my favorite's in my EDC collection.
(that has grown into the hundreds)
Perfect size, light, smooth action, great lock/lock up, super grind, not to mention my 2 favorite materials.
Sal & Eric absolutly nailed this one.
Just my opinion.....

They just started shipping from Spyderco a week ago (not even close to a month) and those were a small amount for premier dealers. The main shipments should be arriving this coming week. People have only had them a couple days so most people are going to have to actually wait a couple more days.

 +1 bigtime. It's just a perfect size and weight. Awesome knife.

I'm not a huge Compression Lock fan because it's awkward for me but I don't care :D This knife rocks big time. And the combination of edge rentention, wear resistance and corrosion resistance of S90V is hard to surpass for a folder. Throw in peel ply CF scales and this knife is a winner. They should make it regular production. I'd bet they can sell a ton of them for a year or two at $180, all day long.

Yep, as a mostly-lefty I'm not a fan of the exceptionally brilliant (it really is) compression lock, but it's hard to resist this combination.   Big thank-yous to Eric, Sal & Co.

By the time we get them it will be close to a month difference. ;)

I have to agree here. I just got mine and it is by far, the best Spyderco I own, which is saying a lot.

The only problem I have with it, is that it is not regular production, which means I am constantly worrying about losing it or breaking it. Too bad I can't afford a safe queen.

At the rate this steel eats up belts and wheels, I doubt it.

Just got mine today. 10 days after it initially shipped.

I love it. My only complaints are that some of the CF seems a little rough on the edges (rounded part), and the lock wants to bite my finger when I open it.

An improvement in every way over the Para 1. Awesome knife though, and its going to be in my pocket for a long time.
