Para 2 Sprint - Foliage Green w/ Elmax

Couldn't resist... Just pulled the trigger after waiting two days and reading all the threads on BBS. I'm hardly a collector (although a one point I owned all the Para II sprints and then sold them when I realized I wasn't using them) but I love the "earth" toned sprints. I've been carrying my Brown Para II for a few weeks and when I get the Elmax I'll probably start rotating between the two.

The price is exceptionally high considering the configuration but I don't have a problem with it since the Para II & I are probably my favorite all around knives of all time. It'll probably be my only purchase until the Sylz Bowie drops...
 
Oh man. Is it worth the price?

I have been spending waaayyyyy too much on blade recently....my sig doesn't help either...hehe

As I and others have stated in so many words, it is high for the configuration that you are getting when considering other Sprints out there!

If you already own a PM2 in S30V, it would be pretty tough to justify $200 for Elmax.
That being said, if you realllly like the color, and you want it for collection purposes, go for it.
 
The thing is, I am yet to own one period. I would love a PM2, but it's getting hard to justify it; even if it would be my first.

Start with the standard version. They are getting easier to find I think. Great model.

The KW Dealer Exclusive M4 Millie was less than 600..500 was the total made..
 
The only place I've seen different options of the normal pm2's are on ebay and they aren't much cheaper than this sprint run and your getting better steel. "Winning":D
 
The g10 is the classic "weave pattern" and is very nice.

Daggone - 10 pages of BBS hate. I thought this was a thread about the new PM2? Seems like a lot of the people griping the loudest are the flippers who are angry about BBS cutting into their profit-margin.

Mine should be here today - I'm excited. I've got every PM2 Sprint/Exclusive (except for that damn laminate - I wish I would have pulled the trigger when I saw the one I wanted on ebay, but hesitated and now they're all astronomical in price). All mine are users so this one will be the same. I thought the bundle was a bad idea, but I figured they'd cave and sell it separately (and they did).

$200 for a limited run Para-2 with Elmax steel (despite the Elmax hatred on here, it's a great steel and I've had no issues with any of mine - holds a sharper edge longer than S30V from most production manufacturers and is fairly easy to get a good edge back on) isn't terrible. Hell, the S35VN version was selling at a street price of what - $160-ish back in 2012?
 
I've got one coming today. It was a bit more than I wanted to pay, but after thinking about it, decided it was worth it.

3 Elmaxs on EBay right now. All of them are priced at $300+. The secondary market is already here. Recommend you get yours while u can from BBS before they sell out.
 
There's a difference between putting a knife on eBay for $300 and selling one. I don't see any completed auctions for Elmax PM2s. Kinda like the the same $600 s90v PM2s that have been on there forever.
