Para 2 Sprint - Foliage Green w/ Elmax

BBS will probably be the only store you can buy a non-numbered PM2. Every where else will sell knives with collectors numbers as they would be collectors...and at a higher price. If you know a collector then you need to ask them if they've received their PM2 Elmax order yet. I know for sure that country knives in PA will sell them...at an expensive price too.

Country knives in inter course, PA just let me know that they had received their Elmax PM2s and they will be selling for $300 plus $11 shipping. If you want one, now is the time to order from BBS...it will save you a $100

That would be $300 for a CC-numbered knife, vs. $200 for a non-numbered regular production knife.

Yup. It's an exclusive. Other dealers will only be getting CC knives.

I wonder what hardness this one will be. I have two elmax mules and they were done at around 58-9. I think 61-2 would be better.

The optimum hardness would probably not be good for the Average Joe. Remember, a lot of people have popped up recently and it seems to be trendy now to buy expensive knives and such. Sharpening that knife at a 61 Rc might be a nightmare for the same folks that have a killer time sharpening a straight edge Sheepsfoot , Wharncliffe, or Tanto blade.

Somebody might have already mentioned this but Bento Box is now selling this unbundled.

Edit: Oh, like a couple pages ago. Duh.

If anyone does get the bundle and decides they don't want the Lil' Matriarch let me know.

I've been using elmax at 62 a lot and I'm not finding it challenging to keep it sharp. Holds a great edge for a good while and takes it back pretty quickly. Real nice steel.

This is not correct.
I know that at least NGK sold theirs for $179.50 shipped, insured, and as always with return policy. No wonder that Mike/Annie are among the very best blade dealers out there.

Anybody know if BBS received them yet? I know they we're suppose to get them today. Will they send me an e-mail letting know when/if it shipped?

According to their website, you will receive an email when shipped.

I have a custom in Elmax it's right at 61.5ish and it's been great.

I agree, NGK is one of the best. I have been very happy with my purchases from them. The band-aids come in handy as well. :) One thing I have noticed is that some dealers are selling their LE knives for almost 50% more now than they were say a couple years ago. It's the flippers that are creating this bubble effect I would say.

Any seller worth their salt will send you a order confirmation, and shipping confirmation. Email them and find out, just don't inquire about potential trades.

Just got my confirmation and tracking number from bbs they ship fast should be here on thurs!!!!

Couldn't resist... Just pulled the trigger after waiting two days and reading all the threads on BBS. I'm hardly a collector (although a one point I owned all the Para II sprints and then sold them when I realized I wasn't using them) but I love the "earth" toned sprints. I've been carrying my Brown Para II for a few weeks and when I get the Elmax I'll probably start rotating between the two.

The price is exceptionally high considering the configuration but I don't have a problem with it since the Para II & I are probably my favorite all around knives of all time. It'll probably be my only purchase until the Sylz Bowie drops...
