Para 3 in December CONFIRMED!

Hmm, those videos made it look bigger than I was thinking in the handle. The comparison to the Sage 5 really wasn't the size I was expecting. Maybe the Sage 5 is still a better choice for me.

Looks fanfreakinbloodytastically neat. Nice, thicker blade for using, yet still FFG. Just looks great. I can't wait.

If i'm being honest the blade looks a little bit too stumpy, doesn't quite have the nice lines the Para2 had. Even tho both have a similar blade/handle ratio, the Para3 just looks stubby for some reason. I might give this one a miss and pick up one of the newer Militarys. I'm sure the Para3 will be great for many others tho.

I would love to see it in solid CF. Not the laminate, but rather like found on the Positron. Although I probably would still bite fast on a blue weave laminate (like on my Domino). None of my knives are safe queens, but since I have a "few" more than I can carry, I still enjoy choosing the good looking knives for daily carry. Like the Chaparral, Sage, and others that enjoy a series of component combinations, I think the Para3 is the right size to appeal to "gentleman's carry" and "hard use" crowd alike.

Sent from my mind....using Tap-a-Thought. (tm)

The Para 3 doesn't look to be redundant with their other 3"ers. It is Beefy & same blade height as a Para 2. It could fill a role as a Para 2 for those places were 3" is the legal maximum.

I think if it were thinned down in blade thickness & scaled down in every aspect it would be competing with models Spyderco already has out. As is, it's a bit different than other small Spydies.

I realy don't like that pin, I would realy like if it was a screw...everything else is fine by me, I'm gonna get me one with more exotic steel and scales, but I realy don't like that pin...

Have a Chaparral now. A little bit cold with Sage 5 since they are of similar design. Like Para 3 thinking it may replace Delica or Tenacious as perfect hiking or camping knife.

The pin isnt pressed, its floating. So disassembly is still easy.

So, is this knife available anywhere yet? I didn't read every comment, so please forgive me if I missed anything. Two days left in December.

I have heard some have left Spyderco and have made their way to certain dealers. Those dealers are filling their pre-orders. More pre-orders will be filled as more knives arrive from Spyderco. I've heard that people will probably start receiving their Para 3's by late this week or next.
