Effin gumballs. Hate raking those damn things...
how do you peeps keep track of your blades? I used to write them down on a legal pad, but decided today to start a file on the laptop, a grid that list origin, maker, model, quantity and a brief description. First blades on the grid are the BKs, of course. Man, this is gonna take a while...
Just got caught up here.
Sorry to hear of your troubles,The Warrior . Ice can certainly make for some sketchy driving, especially on bridges. Glad you made it through ok.
Hope you get your Jeep squared away too. I usually am of the mind that when it rains, it freaking pours. So you just have to put your head down and power through, it will all work out in the end.
I have been house hunting for the last couple of months and my stress levels have been rather high. The market here in NW Oregon is absolutely abysmal. Homes are selling in less than a day, has been almost impossible to find a suitable house, view it, like it, and put an offer in before the sellers have already accepted someone else's offer...
Put an offer in last week and then found out we lost out to someone offering 40 grand over asking price! Wtf?!
Thankfully, we found a house a bit outside of our area that is awesome and right on a river. A couple of counter offers back and forth and it looks like we might have a deal....
I... don’t own enough to keep track of all that; sounds like you’re doInfo a decent job at it.
If anywhere is as bad as the Seattle housing market I guess it would be in Oregon; what is it about the PNW that makes people want to spend an exorbitant amount of money to live here? When my parents moved to STL two years ago their house here sold for 50k over asking price and more than triple the price when they bought it 20 years ago.
Yep, those are the ones. Seed of satan.Gumballs... spawn of the devil. You mean these?

I've only got 2 things to say about 'em.
1. Thank God the 10 sweet gums along my driveway aren't in the backyard anywhere near where people congregate and play or I'd have cut them all down 20 years ago.
2. About the only thing I've found them to be of any value for is this. If you've got young plants or flowers, put these in the bed on top of the mulch and they'll keep rabbits from chewing everything down to nubs.
Tomorrow I'm going to bust out the Cyclone Rake, suck 'em up, chew 'em up and turn 'em into mulch.
Happy Birthday brudda. I think I have some of those stickers somewhere. Forgot I even had them.Friday was my birthday. Went to Bahama Breeze with some friends and family. Ate delicious food and drank some delicious drinks. I love their mango jalapeno mojito.
Then over to my brothers house where we partied until 1am.
Saturday some relaxing and then some bowfishing off the creek bank.... More like scouting... Didn't see anything worth shooting. But still a good time.
Pretty good weekend. Too bad it's over.
Looks like i got a few extra sets of stickers left... Need to figure out where, or who, they should go to...

Happy Birthday worldwood! Hope all go's well and I will definitely have you in my prayersSounds good to me. I'll send a set.
PM me your address whenever. Be a bit patient with me though i got a lot going on in the Next few days. Cardiology, ekg, labs and Electrophysiology appointments.
Probably have to have a heart ablation procedure done. Wore a holter monitor for a month. Tons of arrhythmia. Sinus tachycardia. Luckily no a-fib but HR going up to the 180s for no apparent reason. Echo was good. So I'm hopeful.
Thanks bud! It was a good one!

Yeah, it could have been much worse... Happy B-Day to you!Damn WW.
Happy B-Day. Sorry to hear about the rest.
My own B-Day was Wednesday. Repalced a 21-year-old Stumpjumper with a cracked frame with a new 2017 Stumpjumper. Went for an 18 mile ride that night. Sadly only 7 were in the dirt - rest was to and from. But I got to remember how it felt, check the new equipment, watch the sunset from the top of the open space, and saw at least half-dozen bunnies on the trail before the coyotes got to 'em. Was pretty sweet.
Next night was spend setting up the sound board and mic's for my daughter's elementary school play. First run-through was today. Went okay, but had to move 1/2 the mic's afterward 'cause the producer expects perfection but cannot define her needs prior to trying it out. Argh.
Anyway, in the probably 4 hours of "free" time I had this weekend, in addition to the lawn mowing and general yard cleanup I do every week, I was going to trim an unruly oak tree. Asked the wife for some help - spotting, handing me tools, that sort of thing. We discover two giant ficus trees growing amongst the camelias. One about 4" dia and 12 ft tall. No biggie. Other 8" dia and over 20' tall.
Her - "lets just chop 'em down. It'll be easy." She did help chop 'em down at least. Then "I've gotta finish my report cards." Meanwhile, 800 lbs of tree to break down, move off neighbor's property, and try to fit into yard waste container.
Best part was stripping it down with the 20. Was touching the can when I started:

Except for the part where (possibly influenced by the 15 year single-malt) I was holding the stick below where I needed to chop it.
Cut my new leather glove:

Could've been much worse, methinks.
Those turned out great!
Tanks Brother. Me likeyThose turned out great!
They almost have a wood-grain appearance (to my partially color-blind eyes) in that photo. Turned out great! Thanks for being the guinea pig!
